Look at it this way: The pacing around here is exactly what enables busy people to participate -- any significantly faster pacing would exclude pretty much anyone with a job.

Good point. I think there was a mistake anyway. I was under the impression midnight last night; not tonight. The dates confused me.

I pulled this from the rules on the first page of the Queue. Let me know if I have misinterpreted it.
feel free to "/in to replace" and I will add your name below as an "on call" replacement.
If there actually is a replacement list, I've never personally seen it be used before; PMing the mod of a game you want to replace into will generally get you the best results.
Or they just steal from the Newer Player /in list - either way, sorry you got overlooked hawk, but there's not much you can do except PM the next Mod who needs a replacement ASAP.
If you have a problem, please PM the moderator or the listmod of the queue you are entering (in this case singersigner). Please do not talk about ongoing games, whether you think it has relevance to the game or not.

Yeah. I am constantly trying to get a replacement, but there never seems to be one open because once they are open, they are closed in a matter of one or two posts. I just thought that was another way to get replaced in for some of the unlucky people who cannot PM the moderator that quickly.
Well, I will PM singersigner about that rule. Thanks for your help.
The problem with the on-call replacements list is that people tend to forget about it because asking in the thread is more likely to get a replacement quickly (because it selects in favour of people who are online at the time). So it's better for the people currently inside the game (what the mod is normally focusing on), but worse for the people trying to join.

I suggest selecting a game you want to play in and pming the mod while their aren't any replacements currently needed, they often do occur and I believe provided a mod keeps track of their own replacement list you'ld be much more likely to get in. (I'm not sure if newbie games have this, but themes and other queues generally will if they're popular.

I have seen newbies have it before and it does happen.
