Build AD Nami mid and destroy with her somehow. That still baffles me.

Ugh. This attitude is by far what I like least about playing League, and the reason I avoid Normals like the plague.
While this is generally what I dislike abut normals, it is fun to occasionally let loose and just do whatever. I had a recent game where I went bruiser Blitz top. I'd have gotten two early kills if I hadn't messed them up, and even though Riven snowballed against me, I came back late as a legitmate threat off of just WER, not to mention the hooks.I don't have anything to put here because my normal signature is images. You should only do this in premades, with the consent of your teammates...I'm a hoot

I don't play blind normals expecting to win. I just play normals to have fun. I avoid trolling unless I'm with people who understand (durr), but if having fun means taking Rammus top because I've never tried it and I'm curious I should be allowed to do that. Fuck you if you don't think so.
Also bruiser Blitz is a thing. Most people don't play it because the matchups are weird.
Doublelift was famous for it for the longest time.or something like that....-

Winning Streaks aren't directly related; it is your MMR that matters. If you are in Upper Silver, but your MMR is somewhere in Mid Silver (or lower), you will see less LP gains and increased LP losses until your MMR approaches your League/Division.(11:04:10 PM) senspizzaline: That's actually my bold prediction for the year

If a 1700 Duos with a 1000, then it tries to find two teams that will have similar win%, despite the fact there will be huge fluctuations.
If possible, it will try 1700/x/x/x/1000 vs 1700/x/x/x/1000. Otherwise, it might settle for something like 1700/1400/1400/1400/1000 vs 5 1400s.(11:04:10 PM) senspizzaline: That's actually my bold prediction for the year

Duo queueing actually skews very very hard in favor of the non-duo team in situations where the other team 1) does not have a duo or 2) there is a large elo difference between the duo partners. There have never been hard numbers posted by Riot but someone did a big bank of testing in a bunch of different ranges and came out that the bigger the discrepancy, the farther behind your team is. In a situation where the elo discrepancy was 1800 and 1000, you're looking at team A being 1800 1700 1600 1600 1000 vs a team of flat 1700 or higher. The breakpoints are really extreme at higher elo.
I'll try to dig up the link. Obviously not a lot of 2ks want to duo with 1ks but when they do, they aren't going to win. At lower elo its much more manageable, mostly because most players haven't hit their "true elo" or whatever in the 1100-1500 due to small sample size of games.-

I just hit gold 3, but for when I was gold 4, I duo'd with a silver 4, and some games the enemy didn't have a single gold player, just all silver. :S-

The other thing to remember is that Leagues are 100% cosmetic and have no bearing on your actual MMR. Just because you're silver 1 doesn't guarantee you have a better MMR than a silver 2, you could realistically be a lot lower. It's really not a transparent system and I think they made it like that on purpose. If you have a high W:L ratio but have lost several placement matches, your MMR will be much higher than your "League" placement. There's a dude on SA who has lost 18 promotion series in a row, and not one game inbetween his series. He is G1 but I imagine his MMR is much higher than most Plats.- PJ.

But it's really not giving me a shot to improve to be honest. 5 games for 21 points is a bit ridiculous. I'm back to 30 wins above losses. If the answer to the system finding your "true mmr"(which I'm not even sure how, since it started clamping me before I even had 60 or 70 games in this system) is turning off, i'm really not sure I like the system. In the Elo system, i'd be up 50 elo. and actually feeling the brush of gold on my dirty silver worn face. I Placed into silver 2, shot up immediately, shot back down, immdiately shot back up, boom clamped. I heard it specifically clamps in the 1s of each division so people don't luck into tiers?
On the flip side, it's super liberating. I'll never be gold but I'll never be silver 2. I never have to care what I play or if my teammates are idiots or If i play poorly. I literally lose less than a dodge. like at 25 points it'll take me like 12 or so games to get demoted. So bad game, who cares, just don't get a bad twelve. In my 5 game winning streak I've played Jungle, Support, Adc twice, and Top, often with champs I haven't really played before/often. And the lack of anxiety creates a normals atmosphere where there's really no point to get worked up. It's 2 points.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.- Brandi

This is true. My MMR is really high though because when I solo queue I get plats on the enemy team :S So Im not sure how sometimes Im matched against all enemy sivlers when I duo with someone low. Maybe his MMR is just that low? (He does have more losses than wins) As for me I have I think 13 wins above losses and I haven't lost a single promotion match. (I get about 18-24 lp per win, around 14-18 per loss)- mykonian

The more games you play the more the system thinks its got it right. And you are really surprised you have big fluctuations initially but small ones after 180 games.
And you should be wiser then to believe in things you "heard". Or whatever.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.- TehBrawlGuy
