I decided to go back and look at the people I played with in my last ranked game. My team consisted of me (Silver V), Bronze I, Silver V, person still seeding, and

Gold V

. We were up against a combination of Silver V's and Unranked people. The Gold V person played really well, but his MMR must be terrible if he's matched up with people like me. He's probably only getting something like 10 LP per win.

The other possibility is that he's duo queueing with someone with a really low MMR. I see this occasionally.

so this just happened

started with a maokai last pick when we proooobably should have had another ad carry so jayce could go top and stomp on teemo

so I suggest that I go top with jayce and maokai just holds bottom lane for a bit

nobody shows up until we're almost level 3 when jarvan comes around and takes a bit of free damage, then soraka and miss fortune come to gank us (teemo went bot with soraka at first I think after realizing jayce would probably be top)

we get away pretty easily but master yi gets there too so we turn around, kill miss fortune, dive soraka at the tower and take the tower at about 4 and a half minutes.

and then we kinda just roamed around everywhere and jayce got super fed and we killed their nexus before the 20 minute mark.

it was pretttty fun.

Played like a 55 minute game today. Our team was pushed into our base for like a solid 25 minutes, but we'd never let them ace us to end it, and we'd never ace them unless minions were flooding us and keeping us from pushing. We even lost all our inhibs + baron at one point, but we just didn't let it end. Game finally ended when I got to Malph ult Trist, Elise, and J4 all at once, leaving the diving Zed stranded and Trist/J4 temporarily useless. (FH + ground slam + omen combo too good)


Moral of the story? Ban Malph if you can't position, because he will shit on you

and

your carry at once when you're out of place.

Yeah you played very well and did a great job sticking to Trist and generally aggro-ing all their firepower.

I think I understand how Sejuani works now. You use all your spells to do a lot of damage, then miss easy ults and still get kills.

That's how it works, right? It seemed to work in the one game I tried it in.

I checked my friend who is in Plat 3, and he is the top 0.9%. I thought gold was average and plat was slightly above average. I was way off.

I'm top 29% apparently, which is a lot better than I thought. I was thinking top 50-60%.

Also, Dan's apparently in the same league and divison as me, even though I was placed here before adding any scummers. Weird.

I checked my friend who is in Plat 3, and he is the top 0.9%. I thought gold was average and plat was slightly above average. I was way off.

I remember the Season one numbers being released and they said that 1250 was the top 25% and Plat was like the top .2.

Players were awarded with medals in their summoner profile based on their Elo at the conclusion of Season One and Season Two. These medals were given as follows:

Bronze (Old): Between 1250 and 1399 (3v3: 1249-1409, pre-made 5v5: 1249-1409) (Top 25%)
Silver (Old): Between 1400 and 1519 (3v3: 1410-1519, pre-made 5v5: 1410-1499) (Top 10%)
Gold (Old): Between 1520 and 1899 (3v3: 1520-1699, pre-made 5v5: 1500-1749) (Top 3%)
Platinum (Old): 1900 and above (3v3: 1700+, pre-made 5v5: 1750+) (Top 0.2%)

About a month before the end of Season 2, a new rating tiers system was introduced:
Bronze: Between 0 and 1149 (Team: 0-1249) (Top 100%)
Silver: Between 1150 and 1499 (Team: 1250-1449) (Top 68%-13%) Majority of Active Player Base
Gold: Between 1500 and 1849 (Team: 1450-1649) (Top 13%-1.5%)
Platinum: Between 1850 and 2199 (Team: 1650-1849) (Top 1.5%-0.1%)
Diamond: 2200 and above (Team: 1850+) (Top 0.1%)

The numbers we're getting and the numbers given are about in the same range(I'm just outside of gold and in the 14th percentile for instance)
