But it you kept saying, don't vote him he's not worth it.In post 869, goodmorning wrote:@Deras: None of those attempt in any way to deflect attention from Carey. I use several points (meta, speed of read buildup) to ascertain that I believe his slot to be Town. One person saying "I think this guy is Town" =/= one person saying "we should ignore this guy".
I'd like to see these as well please. In post 873, Eye Urn wrote:Point me explicitly to an argument I have made, and I will reconsider it and return with a more thorough exposition of it, or an acquiescence that I was wrong.
This, please don't hammer GM yet.In post 874, goodmorning wrote:That is L-1, I think. If anyone intends to hammer, keep a vote off until you've stated intent and let me respond.
IC question: Why is it counterproductive? In post 869, goodmorning wrote:IC PART OF THE POST TIME: EVERYONE STOP PAIRHUNTING BEFORE FLIPS THAT IS SO EFFING COUNTERPRODUCTIVE

GM:
1) I think you've way overblown the Fropome thing, looking for something to grab onto and continuing to do so for no good reason.
2) The fact that you explicitly asked me only for my read of you still weighs heavily on my mind as something that you would have done as scum in that situation and not as town.
3) The part of 170 that Deras pointed out in 216 and your reaction to that in 316. You were caught and tried to twist it, and it only got in deeper.
4) Continually not even reading and understanding what's posted, like when you asked what I find scummy about posts that I made (800 and 806). You clearly didn't even read them, you just assumed that I was being unspecific and wanted more details.- Eye Urn

Jesus Christ this game.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

Reiterating for emphasis: 877 is a scum slip. She clearly didn't even read the linked posts before making the comment because she's assuming I didn't make them (which I did). If she really wanted to know what I found scummy about certain posts, one would assume she had read them.- fferyllt

That's twice AA has jumped onto an L-2 wagon today unless I am misremembering.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

@Fe: Second paragraph in 666 is an example of a misrep from you and I don't see explanation though I could easily be missing it.
@Deras: I was saying "this is why I am not voting him." I was not saying "don't vote him," but even if I were that still =/= "ignore him."
IC answer: It's counterproductive because you can start building cases based solely on associative tells, letting actual tells from others go unnoticed even, and then if you lynch one and they flip Town it's back to the drawing board AND it can falsely make the other one look Town to you as well even if they aren't.
Basically it's just that you don't know. Now, if you say "I think X is Scum. I think Y is Scum. I also think they happen to make sense as a team." that's a bit different. But I'm seeing both blended together and honestly it's better to just wait for a flip, any flip, before pair speculation.
PEDIT @Fe:
1) That slot is Scum. I am about 95% likely to quit Newbie games altogether if I'm wrong about him.
2) Yeah, well, that's you.
3) Sorry I'm not that good at reaction tests? A more complete metaing of me might clear that up for you.
4) Yes, because you have been incredibly unspecific this game by using lots of words. Let me rephrase: Why use 800 as a justification for voting when sever people pointed out to you how utterly shit it was?
NOT CLICKING YOUR STUPID GODDAMNED LINKS IS NOT A SCUMSLIP IN ANY UNIVERSE

I'm basically concerned about the same thing re AA. Like I said, putting someone at L-1 TWICE today.
Can someone unvote GM and can we chill out a little until VE has a chance to read the full thread? Whatever his alignment he was a sport for replacing into a 30 page thread with such a short fuse to nightfall.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

And i am afraid of getting lynched. I am very well aware that not all town team will survive to the end, i know that some of us will have to be either mislynched or night killed by mafia, i just didn't want to go down without a fight.
What confusing me about you is that since morning that you were neither interested nor shown uninterested in any of the wagons today.

That's me making a claim about a player behavior. If it's a misrep, then it's a misrep. But only you know if it is or not, so it's totally unfair to call it a false argument from me. From my perspective, that's what I'm seeing out of you. Several players have seemingly read my mind, I find them Town for it, and you're just telling me to ignore that because I shouldn't assume people who agree with me are Town when it's not the fact that they agree with me leading me to think they're Town. It's looking like GM is trying to pry apart people who recognize each others' thought processes by claiming that we're just agreeing, when that's far from the truth. She might even push it off as part of her IC behavior and to some extent what she's saying is correct, but the problem is that she's mischaracterizing our arguments and the lines of our reads saying that we just happen to agree. I'd serious consider voting for her again in the future, but for now we just need to get Carey's replacement to talk a bit about the game before we lynch ArcAngel.
I assumed when you said I made a false argument it would be something verifiably so, not something that you claim as false where you're the only one who could know if it's false.- fferyllt

That's patently false. My only question is whether it's intentionally false or you really could read this day's posts and come away with that impression. In post 896, ArcAngel9 wrote:

I'm sorry, I don't get how reacting to reaction tests has the slightest thing to do with 170/216/316. Are you saying you're not very good at employing reaction tests on other people? That doesn't exactly clear you, because then you're the only one claiming that you meant it as a reaction test. It's much more likely that it's as Deras implied. In post 888, goodmorning wrote: 3) Sorry I'm not that good at reaction tests? A more complete metaing of me might clear that up for you.
The vote on VE was to get him to read the thread; I agree that he's not particularly scummy for making those arguments, but he very clearly had not read the thread, and that's a cardinal sin as far as I'm concerned. I succeeded in getting him to do so, and he succeeded in making me rethink the case on AA9. Winners all around, sorta. - Eye Urn
