Why Deras do you think? Was he the universally recognized most towny player?

Personally I think Scum is likely to have killed him either because they thought he was a PR or because they thought he was unlikely to be protected. Or both.

Because a 50-50 chance on either of you would probably have been a better gamble than a 100 on Deras, which would imply that mayyyyyyybe one of you isn't Town.

From 1287: I mean that his posts tend to be less focused on the game as it is? It's another one of those gut-type things, but there are some symptoms like finding external reasons to vote/unvote (like 814 for example) and lack of real scumhunting or pushing (though YMMV). THE LACK OF PUSHING IS A BIG ONE. From 869: Fe is playing very close to the belt, and he's made false arguments one too many times for me to feel comfortable.

At the end Deras seemed interested in killing GM/Mac, and was primed to oppose an Eye lynch.

I read this one of two ways:

First, one or both of GM/Mac is scum and wanted someone out of their way. This seems feasible to me considering how verbal feryl and I (most active players) were both looking heavily into eye. It stands to reason that Deras would have immediately voted GM.

Alternatively Eye could be pulling some kind of WIFOM bomb by killing someone who was defending him.

Regardless, speculating NK's is stupid in my opinion. I could just as easily accuse you of killing Deras and setting up me/GM/Eye for it, or anyone else in the thread for that matter. Pointless.

No you're right, he mentioned you unfavorably and it was in a post talking about his lynch preference, and I wrongly assumed that meant he wanted to lynch you. GM is the only one directly implicated by Deras' death.

The other two players likely to vote you right out of the gate today are less universally townie. In fact one could be the early lynch leader today based on sentiments expressed so far. Of Z7, Eye and Deras, deras probably would have the most sway, actually.

Z7 did vote you but I think you would have been second lowest in his pile based on his last scumometer. I'm curious about the rationale but I don't find it all that odd that he re-evaluated based on AA's flip. So 2 players known likely to vote you out of the gate - Deras and Eye.
