You misunderstood me. I had a scum read on Minimal before the flip. When I posted the previous, it was me taking back that scum read, because Minimal is town. I was saying that I was wrong. Secondly, RP just looks like plain scum. I haven't seen anything he's done that is townish.

His case consists of this post and it conflicting with RP being ok with delaying the day before that from what i gather.im too lazy atm to look up where panda delayed the shot.

I can sympathise with him thinking he is scum for townreading him... I do that sorta inverse omgus thing alot too... I dunno if it has any merit.

Nacho, how strong is your scum read on Ffery? What do you think of Fuzzy? I think I might be wrong about Syry and I feel that I'm either wrong on one of Panda or Rach though not both. I don't feel like Panda is scum hunting like he has promised to, he has given his reads without reason IIRC and he proceeds to immediately buddy you upon your entrance which bothers me.

My scum read on ff is not significantly strong, but I expect that will change as I read through the thread. Fuzzy seems a bit scummier to me lately, especially with you flipping town. I really, really, really don't see Rach as scum but I could probably see Panda as scum without too much squinting.

It makes sense, but it could potentially lead to a nightmarish endgame. I'm not sure how to balance that. Nacho? thoughts?

You don't have to trust them with the gun that much. Literally the worst thing that they could ever do is shoot obvious town, but then that obvious town has the gun. In my opinion, it's something better taken care of sooner than later and I have no idea why there's so much trust needed to give someone a gun. They can fuck up, sure, but not that badly.

And since RedPanda has been tossed around so much lately as a scum candidate, I took a closer look, and yeah, I still don't like what I see. I'd expect him to be fairly aggressive this game, fairly focused on forming good strong townreads; after all, when you completely dominate at a setup, it's not like you're going to take a step back and be like "nah, too good". It is, however, exactly the step back I'd expect him to take as scum because it reminds me of Socio in the second white flag after he dominated the first, making him a solid as fuck shot. Meanwhile, his interaction with jeremy is pretty fucking interesting. RedPanda is the only person jeremy has taken a marked interest in, yet interactions lean to them not being scum together (#293 would be him saying "bussing like that wouldn't be my style" while bussing a partner, and the big wallpost is an odd place in terms of buddying/aggression). If RedPanda held the gun, he'd probably shoot jeremy, and I'd wager he'd probably be scum. If he's scum, though, we could start to unravel that picture waaay better as jeremy has to find another target to go after in his slow, lumbering way. The other interesting interaction RedPanda has with someone is with Fuzzy.

Fuzzy has waffled his way around from hell and back, shown vague support for RP getting shot, done nothing else significant. I don't really think that he's scum with RedPanda either, but he's a really solid fucking shot. He's also taken less interest in jeremy than everyone else, which is something to note. I don't like how he acts in #103 with the "shoot me, I know exactly where I'm going", especially consider him pulling the "DON'T SHOOT ME, I DON'T KNOW WHO IS SCUM, don't want to be in that position, don't want to kill someone who doesn't want to die" spiel in mind. Also don't really like #110 because it screams of faking a towntell, and it's also weird what he knows, what he doesn't, and what information he's looking for. He knows that scum choose the gunbearer. He doesn't know they don't have an NK, and he doesn't know that after the gunbearer dies, the townie they were trying to shoot gets the gun. That's just... weird.

RP said he had a plan. Maybe hes trying to get shot? That woudl explain him taking a step back with the "nah im too good" mentality you speak of.... Maybe he wants bragging rights for dominating 2 games in a row? Maybe he thinks he will kill them all?

The thing that sort of puts me off about you is that I don't recall you particularly wanting the gun.

If I had to choose one of these three to shoot, I'd be torn between jeremy and fuzzy. If either or both are scum, then it's good times. If jeremy's town, then I doubt that him having the gun would be a good idea. If town, I think fuzzy would do a better job of scumhunting and shooting.

But, this is consistent in opinions that she's expressed so far. Doesn't necessarily say much, but consistency is nice.

On the third reread I think I see something that could be construed as a slip. I think.

This is a lot of doubt for no real reason. If you see a slip, then push it somehow. If you don't really see it, then you don't. This takes an awkward middle ground.

I'm holding back from replacing out. I didn't realize I wouldn't care much for this game format.

Blaming it on the game format is a really, really convenient excuse. But, if she actually were town, becoming the gunbearer would fix this problem almost immediately.

So, she's taken driveby potshots occasionally, but nothing more. She's given a Syr townread and vaguely supported a Rach shot, but nothing else. She's been entirely useless, but always around, and that's not ever a good sign. If she really hates the game format that much but appreciates the gunbearer role, again, still a good shot. At this point, I'm guessing she's probably scum and would probably shoot her if I had the gun.

Unlikely, based on this:

I'm not going to beg for the gun. I'd rather convince someone to shoot my reads. If I'm going to get shot, I'm going to get shot.

Also the guys who keep going " hey shoot me ! hey shoot me! " should stop. that's like the dumbest way to play this game and people are going to get mixed reads based on that and also it might just cost us the game.

Rach as scum, if anything, is not a shit-talker. This would be a very aggressive opening for her as scum; her typical would be "hello faces I recognize!", it would probably be page 4 or something, and she sure as hell wouldn't try to find a question to ask in order to see what was going on.

After taking the Vicodin and NS putting in the 2nd does of antibiotics I slept for almost 12 hours. I have an ear infection, but will do my best to keep up here.

I have not played with Messiah before but keep an eye on the MM head of Mini she is very good. I have stalked her games before and she is excellent and fooling peeps when she is scum. Happy to provide a link if you want.... I believe fery was also in that game.

There's also the RL excuses post, which, while Rach had a perfectly valid reason to completely ignore this game, gives input on scum players to watch, asks a scumhunting question to get Syr to post relevant content. It shows a level of engagement that's townish. It's passive, yes, but Rach is not an aggressive player at all.

This was crazily town. Minimal threatens to shoot her, she shrugs it off, immediately starts getting paranoid of me even though I've been calling her town all game. I'm pretty much her only defender in a cruel world as scum, and here she is telling me that she's still watching me, after everyone else has called me town long ago.

In a more concise way, I can follow Rach's thought process with pretty much every post she makes, she's been ENGAGED in the game, she is playing to her town meta, her response to Minimal's threat is town as shit. Like really, really town. And it frustrates me because Rach is so clearly interacting with the game, engaging, getting into it while ff is... not. And yet Rach tops mostly everyone's shoot lists, while ff is my own personal scumread that I'm feeling better and better about.

But the problem with RedPanda is he doesn't fit nice with any of my scum suspects. If I had to gamble, I would bet him town and scum being ff/catlord/jeremy/fuzzy. His move of dropping a scumread and not getting a new one was interesting, doesn't really seem like it has any scum motive behind it. He just feels he has strong scum suspects, wants to see which ones flip scum, which ones flip town.

Like, if she was gunned down, it would be fun going for inactive town. She's pushed unusually hard against Rach while ignoring other lurkers, which wouldn't make a whole lot of sense unless they were her partners.

She would also LOVE to be able to push the "oh, incompetent players having the gun is a terrible idea", and that would prevent two scumpartners from getting shot. Fuzzy would be a sacrifice here, but not a useless one.
