I voted because of the fact that Luigi's vote was an obvious joke vote, and yet Mala seemed to jump on him for it.

It wasn't that obvious to the rest of us. 3 people commented thinking that vote was serious. Mala didn't appear all that aggressive about it either; she just reasonably asked why Luigi voted that way.

I'm voting him because A. his vote felt opportunistic after you had questioned mala's assumption about replacing and B. Post 20's reaction to your vote felt more like "Why aren't you voting with me?" than just justifying his vote. It bothers me that he left it ambiguous hare in this post and waited to clarify later in Post 41.

Luigi's posts rub me in the wrong way. You should make more of an effort to comment on the thread. When someone comes back to the thread only to end up defending themselves I start to think they aren't looking for mafia. I know the first day is particularly hard to find information but you at least have to try to make some reads.

The Jmo and Mothrax votes I'm not feeling currently. I think jmo's vote is fine this early in the game and mothrax coaching thing doesn't make sense. Isn't coaching something you do for a scumbuddy? It's not something I'd look for without knowing the alignment of one of them first.

/reminds herself I'm in a newbie game.

I really don't know if coaching is a decent argument in a newbie game as majority of everyone is new, but the IC/SEs. There is going to be a decent amount of 'coaching' which I would guess in the nature of where we are can, but at the same time can't be considered alignment indicative.

Luigi is being overly defensive about the whole vote thing. Not sure I like grey passing it all off as "it was obviously a joke." It wasn't. That's why three players commented on it.

How is replacing someone suspicious? The original person never picked/confirmed their role PM. I really doubt that's shows any relevance to alignment.

Well hello there fellows.

Glad to see that I missed the truly silly part of RVS and get to make some comments on what has happened so far.

I like the way Malakittens handled the Luigi vote and Jmo'a subsequent questioning. I think Luigii is just being a little overzealous in this Jmo conversation. I am a bit confused as to why Jmo seems to think the best answer to a vote with no explanation is ANOTHER vote with no explanation.

Also, a quick note to Jmo: I know you're an IC, so can you try to keep the double posts to a minimum?

The only other thing I have to comment on right now is #24. Mothrax seems to be coaching here, asking a question of grey and then giving him a road map of sorts to give the right answer to pull early attention off of him. So, I will semi-randomly yet still informed

The RVS is over at this point in my opinion. I feel other then maybe lurking I have done nothing at all scummy.

Exactly. There is an alarming lack of serious votes for being out of RVS. This game needs to pick up the pace a little and we can't get that without some people throwing out some reads or accusations.

Jmo isn't really scummy to me. Therefore I removed it.

Coaching is when someone tries to give tips in-thread to a player. It's some times seen done by an more experienced scum member to an inexperienced. If we were outside of the newbie queue I think the argument could be used, but I don't think it has that much value without flips. Even with flips it might not be strong.

Actually, the more I read the less I like greywing. His serious vote on mala comes because she "jumped on" luigi. I'm not a fan. He also claims that the vote was obviously a joke, when it obviously wasn't. Mala is prob town because of this, in fact, the fact that she was willing to question without throwing down a vote is rather indicative.

Honestly, at this point I feel that nothing has happened that is at all scummy enough to deserve a vote, and honestly there is very little in this thread that I can take a stance on. I will go back through again and see if there is anyone that jumps out at me the second time around, but I typically do not vote unless I feel that I would be okay lynching the person I voted... At this point nothing has occurred that would give me reason to vote by that logic.

I have played mafia in real life but never via forum, I am used to beig able to rely on expressions and tone. I'm not quite sure where I go from here with progressing advice. Can one of the ICs explain this to me? Also, I fail to see how it is anti town not to use a vote
