i have finished my inactivity decay down into silver V in order to sort of start over with solo q

first day back fully, lose 4 in a row, but i think i found my calling as a counselor for solo queue ragers since for some reason im about 80% calmer in solo queue than i am in any other game mode (i still have anxiety in ranked 5s/scrims/real matches that i doubt ill ever fully shake)

I work from about 3pm est till... I don't know, but I'm down provided it's around midnight (gives me ample time to get home and drink hopefully).

This is why I love J4. Team feeding and you need to babysit all day? Chain gank every lane 24/7, still get tons of tanky and utility, win game. I'd just knockup 4 of them for free skillshot hits, pop ult, and get chunked, (Zilean saved ult for useful people) but by that point they were an easy cleanup for the Nid/Ez who could chase all day. I'd generally ult Janna first because she went squish and could disrupt chase; with her dead it was a free ace.

Haha, I do this so much. I just wish I had the ability to whisper to my teammates to stop bothering the guy who's obviously close to afking, but I cannot even count the number of times I've said things like, "mute X and keep trying" etc. It's actually pretty much the only time I use chat in soloq.

i mean after the game, mostly

it was sort of inspired by reading an article about a high school in washington that changed its disciplinary practices to be more sitting the student down and talking with them to try to figure out why they were doing what they were doing (problems at home, w/e) instead of just issuing a punishment; so now after the ragers have their day, if they dont leave post-game chat immediately, im going to try to talk with them a bit to try to figure out why theyre angry at the game in the hopes that the venting and the fact that someone actually listened to/cared about what they had to say will calm them

its part of a general attempt as far as this game is concerned to move away from trying to be some cold, quiet, unemotive person in my interactions with the general league populace into a warm, caring force for general good as i feel that (especially where teams are concerned) any given team of players in this game needs someone to keep it grounded in order to function effectively

i feel like as far as an arranged team goes theres a certain natural dynamic which is best described by the tvtropes article for the five man band; previously i was forced to act as the leader in that example, and now my goal is to move into the role of the chick with any team i play (despite my lack of a fulsome pair of funbags)
