So I've got two ideas for a ladder:
a) Challenge anyone one or two ranks above you, if you win you take their spot.
b) Every week, play against the player ranked above you and the player ranked below you. Rankings change weekly based on results.

What do you guys think?

Not needlessly complicated enough. It needs at least 2 round robin tournaments per week for seeding purposes and a double-elimination tournament for weekly ranking. Also, it must somehow use spherical bessel functions of the second kind and no less than 3 elliptic integrals. Then you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with a herring.

Do it again. The 3-tiered committee we'll need to set up for this has to verify that you're using a valid herring.

I thought of that, but it seems like a bad idea with so few people. I fear that one or two people will fall into a mafiascum version of Elo Hell and never get out.

Also, finally getting +25 LP/win again, now that I offset my 4 game losing streak with a 4 game win streak. Games are a lot funner now that the derp players at least know how to play, and the good players know how to mitigate the bads' mistakes. Pushing bot while Baron is up? Clear its wards and ward it up for when they're done.

Out of curiosity before I watch you play any Sona games, what do you run Runes and Masteries wise on Sona?

Until her 3.8 health buff hits live, I'd go with armor reds. Even with them, she's just too squishy.

JD, I understand the logic behind Hybrid pen, but are you really looking to AA that much with Sona? I mean, yes your powerchords, but they scale better with flat magic pen. And realistically, that's the only time you're going to be looking to be in AA range against most lanes.

I'd understand Hybrid pen more on someone like Nami, whose main harass is AAs, and her E is a great harass tool. I'd just go straight magic pen reds on Sona.

Is Sona in a 1v1 lane?
