I don't think you were even in the game yet during the scrutiny I'm remembering....
I actually initially had you as a 4th town in SoO/Selk/Demon, but then I reconsidered before posting it. I did kind of get townvibes from you during Balto, but I've also learned to be kind of more wary of those townvibes.
I am much more comfortable with my town reads than any scum reads this game so far. I will need to reread D1 to convert my "X event was weird" memories into reads post-flip.- Iecerint

(We obviously did not discuss the game during Balto, other than that I told her and Matt about deadline after my hammervote, and Amrun showed me the milkflip on her phone at karaoke.)- Cephrir

anything to add, Mara?Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I don't have scummy players in my head; I have scummy/suspicious events. In post 828, Amrun wrote:Who are you leaning scum on pre-reread, Iecerint?

but if you thought these events were scummy wouldn't you find the player scummy?

At the time I judged them as highly relational-but-informative events. Depending on how everyone involved in X flipped, everyone else can be evaluated more clearly in hindsight.
An example is the Ghostlin stuff. I didn't understand the various players' strong opinions about Ghostlin. This can mean different things depending upon the alignment of Ghostlin and the various players, or it could mean that I had missed a post somewhere or whatever that would have made it clear. Another is that I remember not really grasping the impetus behind the Marangal/ThAd wagons; I remember stuff about them, but it was all after the wagons had already got going.
I don't have a strong memory of the role of every player in every event because I only had like 10 minutes with the game every few days, hence the need for a reread.- Amrun

I still want answers from Thad, but VOTE: ms maringal
A) no way scum goes for MattP over an actual town doctor (or ghostlin, a claimed pr, though flavor makes me think ghostlin was not a scum kill though this is just a guess)
B) no way a doctor doesn't fucking protect ghostlin!!!
This should be a fucking quicklynch IMHO.- Nero Cain

This doesn't make sense IMO...In post 813, ThAdmiral wrote:Ok I might as well claim now - I am essentially a commuter, and I know that someone tried to target me last night and failed. Was hoping to draw a nightkill but scum maybe thought I was too likely to be lynched at some point and didn't want to waste their shot.
Haven't looked at how the flips affect my reads, so I guess I'll go do that.
Yes, I am the Doctor but there is no way in hell I would have protected someone who I thought was mafia, all day yesterday I was showing suspicion towards Ghostlin based on Swords 1v1 with him. I didn't make it a secret, so why would you think I'd protect Ghostlin.
as for mafia not targeting me, they could have been trying to get a mis-lynch off me. Based of what happened yesterday, scum could easily leave me alive so that they could try and push another mislynch, which would put us into mylo tomorrow.
I still like that demon lynch, wherever he is anyway.
Beli, swords, how likely do you think it is that Ghost was killed by dream-walking?Show- Nero Cain

Ghostlin claimed pr. It was fucking obvious.
Even if both of those things were true, a commuter and a doctor won't be existing in the same small set up -- and as much as Thad's play had been totally baffling, it's been so baffling that I can believe he was just mangling a commuter role.- Ms Marangal

Swords CC'd that PR, IIRC and alot of other people apparently have that PR as well. Swords also commented that, that specific PR isn't necessarily town aligned... I thinkShow- Amrun

Ghost was the most obvious protect, but I'm willing to concede considering how strong my scum read was on him at one point. But even so, only the stupidest scum team alive kills Matt that hasn't read the game over a claimed doc, especially considering Matt is another viable protect even on reputation alone. He's a very common night 1 kill, when town.
I can't see Thad's role and your role existing in the same game and both bring town, and his play is more consistent with his role than yours is.- sword_of_omens

checking in on phone...
@MsM - Beli had a decent point about it possibly being dream related... the dreamworld is dangerous and if you die there, then you die in real life...
I still think it could have been balefire... seeing as how the body disappeared altogether...but I've already explained that and so did Beli...
@Amrun- pretty sure there are multiple "commuters" in this game.. although I wouldn't say they are "full" commuters...
id still like ThAd to answer my question...- Sword of Omens -
