Yes, I do. Because your arguments are the exact same I've heard the last two times it's been brought up by scum. I do not deny that there would be a town benefit, but I have yet to see it actually in practice benefit town.
And I have not said it does not, what I have said is that scum have been the first to suggest it the last 2 times it's been brought up in a polygamist I was involved in. I'm keeping my vote.

I've played two games with Marangal and I recall she was vocally opposed to hasty voting in them both.

WTF would you want to claim early? all it really does is help scum, I used this in the last game I played and it served as a way to find lynchable pairs early.

Okay, so this tell is independent of whether or not I believe what I said - so you're saying it's the act itself of suggesting a claim strategy (or maybe this particular claim strategy, though tbh that would make no sense whatsoever) that's scummy.

Now I'm going to assume that you don't think it's scummy simply because you've seen scum do it twice (that would not require any sort of miracle of probability). So what I'm wondering is: what about it do you find intrinsically scummy?


I like hearing myself speak (and type, because keyboards turn me on), so I'm going to try to guess at a possible answer:

Suggesting a claim strategy is scummy because it's a way for scum to appear useful without harming their win condition (if they truly believe their claim strategy is correct, they would think someone else would suggest it anyway).

If that's what you think of it, how do you feel about the context of my suggestion within my post? Surely you wouldn't be calling something scummy in a vacuum, so how does the post containing my suggestion influence your view of the suggestion?
