So apparently New York games are in the New York forum, and not the Theme Park forum. This explains so much. Including my stupidity.
Hi.
I'll be fairly busy today. Will catch up tomorrow. Do not like Stevie's reactions to pressure thus far, particularly the blatant OMGUS.
Nero, do you threaten to kill people who don't follow your instructions in every game, or is this a recent thing for you?- Metal Sonic

Know the best part of hydra'ing with Nacho?
Our reads get into synch really really quickly.
Know the worst part about hydra'ing with Nacho?
He leaves me with pretty much nothing to say because he already said it.
Anyway, should make it clear--I fully endorse the Ankamius wagon and would love to see more pressure there myself.-

I'll write out my case just for you.
This means literally nothing. In post 19, BROseidon wrote:It creates a giant scum-WIFOM mess.
Basically, since we would only run up a wagon on the person who had the most votes, scum would just have to manipulate the list to make sure that that is not one of them. Let's say there are 6 scum. Any number of them just need to vote for the same person to make sure that person has more than any scum.Beyond that, scum can list whoever the fuck they want on the list. So scum member A could list 3 other scum while scum member B lists no scum at all. Since the idea presumably would be to look back at these lists later to try to build connections, scum can manipulate that by being inconsistent/bus-heavy in their lists.
The tl;dr version is scum have information, town doesn't, that lets scum manipulate this plan to their advantage, and they have too many ways in which they can manipulate it to their advantage for us to use that later for associative tells.
I mean, I agree that the plan was terrible (which I've already said a couple times), but this explanation of it is just plain bad. The part directly before it WOULD set up a connection, since scum trying hard enough to set up a specific townie being wagoned first can bite them in the ass later. Naturally town are just going to put whoever the fuck they want in the list too, since there's literally no information outside of that plan's existence at all that would change the lists.
But yes, small connections can be made by using these lists later. However, this plan still sucks because going by it just takes up more time and posts than just going through a regular RVS would, and the connections from those lists would be much more sketchy than just playing the game normally.
His overall point is good, but his explanation sucks.
I can easily see scum doing this. I've done something similar in a recent scum game. I was the first wagon of the game and I self-voted because it was safer than responding normally; it has a higher chance of appearing scum in a reaction test.In post 34, BROseidon wrote:Also Zdenek is totes right I am obviously scum.

Okay. /sarcasm off.
VOTE: ProHawk
Also like TiP for town.
pedit:k
Basically, scum paranoia.
In post 73, BROseidon wrote:
I don't think fucking with ProHawk's plan would take any planning for scum to WIFOM the fuck out of.In post 53, Calcifer wrote:I really really really don't think scum would care about the plan all that much.
But hey, at least this pegs you as likely town.
Also I'm going to assume that vote is serious, and I have no idea why you would vote there. Why Ank over any of the other people who've posted relatively little? In post 182, BROseidon wrote:
I don't get what you two are seeing in 41. If either you or Nacho would explain it, then I would be able to have an opinion about whether or not you're right. In post 95, Rift Adrift wrote:I kinda thought I might get some feedback about this. Nacho? Anybody?
I shouldn't have to explain why this is awful. In post 214, BROseidon wrote:
This reasoning is solid. Do you think that Ank is the best lynch right now?In post 191, Rift Adrift wrote:
Nacho's reason may be a little different. The thing that I picked up on was an awkward indirectness. "I think I see what you are seeing", rather than "Is it because of X?" or something similar. This looks scummy to me because I see scum do this way more often than town, like they are afraid that they'll have the wrong "answer" about why the post in question looks bad.In post 182, BROseidon wrote:I don't get what you two are seeing in 41. Town players don't worry about having the wrong answer - they worry about getting something useful back, and tend to be more direct as a result.- TheIrishPope

We are Rift Adrift, Grumpy Ascetic Lynchproof Global Lightning Rod.
All your night actions are belong to us.
Here's how this game is going to go:
We are lynching Ankamius toDay.
Nothing will happen toNight.
Tomorrow we lynch Mac.
Night 2 we self-destruct.
After that, you're on your own. We recommend you not lynch Nero, TIP, or mastin. You can lynch Nacho, though.
Please proceed to vote Ankamius in an orderly fashion. - Rift Adrift
