Yeah, as my sig indicates I want to do a Dept Heaven Large at some point in the future. For reference, that's Riviera: The Promised Land, Yggdra Union, and Knights in the Nightmare. Well, and Gungir, but I don't know that one well enough to write flavor for it.

If you'd played those games and are interested, drop me a line.

After playing risk legacy, I think it'd be cool to run a series of mafia games where the next installments are directly affected by what happens in the previous games. It'd slowly evolve from a fairly normal series into role madness.

I'm obsessed with risk legacy at the moment, and this would be amazing.

Death Note Mafia, based on the anime, is currently under review. It's shaping up to be a great setup, and I'm going to go all-out with flavor on this one. Let me know if interested.

I'm interested, just because of the flavor, I'm pretty awful at Mafia though.

There's no way you'd be able to balance a game like that. You could throw 49 of the manliest, grittiest, ballsiest, most grizzled and rugged men in US history against one Theodore Roosevelt and Teddy would
still
have the advantage.

Solution: Don't include Theodore Roosevelt.

You'd probably use half for a nice 24 player game, or 30 if you are ambitious.

I've already put Meme Mafia in the Micro Queue, but seeing how fast the pre-ins came in, I'm thinking there might be enough interest to turn it into a Large. If anyone not already pre-inned would be interested in playing, let me know, and if I feel there's enough interest I'll move it.

If I move it I'll also need a backup mod and a reviewer, so if you'd be interested in either of those positions let me know as well.

Thanks!

Edit: Response is tepid. Micro it is then!

Does anyone know if a SciFi vs Fantasy mafia has been done? Moreover, would anyone be interested in such a thing?

I can think of one non Vanilla D1 mislynch in all the games I'e played.
I have data now, I'm fairly sure that's not going to much of a problem., depending on randomisation of course)
I think I'm just going to end up with too much scum.

Has anyone ever run a game where instead of posting on the player's accounts, you have the players post as their roles? E.g. say AVox is the Cop, he posts on an account called Cop? Same for Goons, VTs etc. Except that when you vote to lynch (or submit the target for the NK) you have to use player names? And if not, would this be something people think would be interesting/feasible?

Multiple problems:

I have a unique posting style...which I could mask if I could but it would be fairly hard for someone to keep up a duplicated effort all the time.

Additionally I think you underestimate how valuable a confirmed town voice is for town. I think if you did something like this you would have to buff the hell out of mafia.

Also what exactly would be the point of posting as a mafia account?

When (reverse?) mass claim around you would have to claim as a name and that leads to all sorts of previous player meta to establish identity.

A similar sort of theme game style has been done sort of before. The moderator has 12 accounts that all had names of fictional characters that everyone played under. The SK was actually a cultist that would take over another account and post for them.
