This is me. I have a sort of reputation for being hard to read, but this is how I naturally play. And to answer the next question, yes, I tend to play this way regardless of alignment. I've somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 games onsite, feel free to read some.In post 193, Rikablu wrote:
On a separate note: NS, is it your nature as a player to post compressed and short texts? I am under the impression that you might be the type to keep your thoughts mostly to yourself until it's necessary to push players towards your line of thinking. I don't see anything wrong with that, but it's difficult to get a read on you without knowing for sure. Assuming that this belief is correct, I think you're town on the basis that each time you posted, it's presented some form of constructive argument. I even consider the vote on me to be constructive, because frankly speaking no one else has voiced an opinion on my actions, and that's either weak, lazy, or overpowering fixation on gene at the time. On the other hand, if your concise nature isn't part of your standard play, my followup question would be 'why is this different', and what's otherwise a town read becomes a lot weaker.
On another note, I heartily agree with Bacde. CDB is not being his usual self, to memory.

I don't think yessirree is playing differently on purpose. This is both his and my first game on this forum and I didn't know the exact winning condition of a townie until you stated it, so that's a null tell or whatever you kids call it these days.In post 196, Bacde wrote:Of the top wagons, I agree with the votes on gene the most, and I'm still somewhat confused by the yessiree slot. Though he is being deliberately anti-town by using methods that are not better at finding scum than random (such as statistics), and also by playing to a "survivalist" strategy, I'm not sure that a mafia would be so candid about playing to such a variant style.
Also, saying that you don't find yessirree suspicious is one thing, but saying you don't understand why others find him suspicious is quite another. We're talking about the guy who said, "I am town. So I will not be lynched today, I will not be lynched tomorrow, and I will not be lynched on any day thereafter."
If you can explain why a townie would say that, I'll happily switch my vote back to CDB.- yessiree

Bob, the role PM states the exact win condition of town. This is your first game right? By saying you didnt know the wincon, you didnt get the PM containing the town wincon.
How did I not notice that slip???
Barring an epic bus, Rikalbu is town.
Bacde is town, he isnt playing like the scum Bacde I've been partners with
Yes actually looking at meta cases actually strikes me as an effort to scum hunt, but he still defends himself too much.
The only scummy thing with CDB is his lack of posting, which isnt exactly scummy but sure he needs pressure.
But this is a huge slip, lets lynch Bob- Rikablu

Yes, because its in a spoiler tag that people might not read.
Bob, if you didnt know the "exact" wincon, what did you think it was, if you were town?- Bacde

Biceph might be scum, but I'm not convinced that what he posted was a slip.
Why is it that when Bob admits to not knowing the win condition of a townie, its a slip, but when yessirree insists that he wants to be alive at the endgame for a "bigger feeling of accomplishment", despite that meaning nothing and not being in the town win condition, its not a slip?- Bacde

There are town-motivated and scum-motivated reasons to post this, this statement is a null tell.In post 203, Bicephalous Bob wrote:"I am town. So I will not be lynched today, I will not be lynched tomorrow, and I will not be lynched on any day thereafter."- DoctorPepper

Wording. Bob's is more direct and feels like a slip. Yes, just feels like someone who wants to be alive, which is both scum because thats the wincon and a townie who feels that being alive is some sort of accomplishment. That didnt register to me as a slip, when I was a newbie, I wanted to be alive til endgame, town or scum.
Bacde, if it wasnt a slip, how exactly did he not know the win con of town?- Nobody Special

One's an attitude of play, the other is not realizing your opponents wincon is posted in the thread. In post 209, Bacde wrote:Biceph might be scum, but I'm not convinced that what he posted was a slip.

Yes. You do realize that being alive as town means that scum think youre an asset to them or lynch bait.
Anyway, I'd like to see if Bob can squirm out of this, but I dont see it happening. You cant just say "I didnt read my role PM properly" to explain how you didnt know the town win condition.
I do wish CDB would come back as he promised. NS, do you still think Rika is scum after that?- Bacde

The role PM doesn't clearly say whether or not a townie has to be alive to win. I assumed, even after I read the role PM, that the real winners are the ones who live to tell about it since that's the case in most games. Bacde said yessirree was probably town because he was using a uncommon survival tactic, so I said I, too, wasn't aware of this:
It was a confession, not a slip. It's also the only point I was making in that post. I didn't dedicate a post to saying I didn't know that the townies win when the mafiosi are no more, which is essentially the only thing said in the role PM.In post 178, Bacde wrote:You don't need to survive to win
In fact, often dying can be good for your win condition (as town) as people will see that your posts are coming from a town perspective, and can remember your opinions- DoctorPepper

You win when all threats to town have been eliminated
Unless you are a threat to town, its okay to be eliminated. Im not buying it. - DoctorPepper
