rofl was so incredibly obvscum, but the wagon was slipping away from me. It's one of those situations that happens all too often where town was going to talk itself out of a good thing, and we weren't anywhere close to a MYLO/LYLO situation. I also wanted to draw the nightkill away from a power role if possible.

My plan was to claim hider so that any docs would stay away from me, but the thread was locked before I could submit that post.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE ZOIDBERG: He's rude, lying, opportunistic, anxious, fence-sitting, most of his plays are OMGUSes and entreats to hop on his poorly-articulated wagon, he's likely scumslipped about a 3-player multi-ball setup with a daytime QT, he likely has a powerful scum ability, he likely bussed his partner D1, he's admitted to lying to town about his PR and has been caught lying to town more than once outside of this, he's admitted that he's just playing the game to have fun and lying/manipulating town counts as fun to him, etc etc.

I thought about doing both. I was quite concerned that TIP was going to counterclaim, but then when he didn't I thought about claiming hider, etc etc.

If he flipped town (which I felt to be like a 1% chance) I probably would have just apologized and then prepared for a turbolynch.

I already explained that there were multiple reasons. I chose to do it because the time seemed right. I was very confident about my scum read, a town PR would not have been so lurky-lurk the way rofl was, I'm a VT, and it's D1 in a 21p game so I wasn't in danger of putting town into MYLO/LYLO situation.
