policy lynches are never a good thing, but if we think he is scum we shouldn't shy away from him because it could be part of his anti-town nature or something like that.

Here's what I thought, before Sak's post. I thought he said that he thought someone else was scum as in he thought the case was good, but didn't want to change his vote from someone who is my #1 townread.

My previous numbers were 3 (following my scumbuddies recommendation of a 1-2-3 pick) and 9 (thinking the max was 10 and thus going high.)

Absolute not.

To repeat my previous statement on both those theories:

It's not definitive, but it's a great indicator.

I was already aware of the 1, 2, 3 draft pick game and it changes nothing, since I am not relying on theories to find scum, but good 'ol fashioned scumhunting. The theories are just helpful at times because they narrow particular odds. The only thing that's important right now in regards to them, is to be vaguely aware that they exist, so hopefully I don't have to repeat that stuff too often if I draw from it.

Having said that I believe we should be looking at a lynch from the top half of the draft pool for today. That's why my vote on Stryker isn't moving, that and his current absence hasn't changed my read.

First of all, I like how PPP is trying to help first timers in PYP by analyzing some of the draft order mechanics.

Second, and I'm not sure about this, seeing as I'm pretty new, but I think I heard that a scum tell is having only one scumread, and not scumhunting further. PPP doesn't do this, he presents a good case on Stryker but continues to look at other people.

Third, posts seem genuine, not embellished or bullshitted at all.

And while I'm explaining reads, Sak's read is because of meta.

My first pass through the thread using the Driver method hasn't been spectacularly fruitful, possibly because it was interrupted about 68 times, but I'm not liking the diction in #91 and #93. I want to do a couple more passes in a more well-rested, unrushed state before I drop a vote, though. The way things are going that might not be until Saturday.

scum love policy lynches. doesn't mean town can't suggest them but they are really beneficial to scum if the person is a townie. easiest lynch in the world. policy lynch should be used in tiebreaker-esque situations where two people are equally considered scummy by the town. there is probably a vig in the game, so that may be a good shot for them however. not great for a lynch when we can scumhunt

OK so Mutley plays like the way he is all the time is what I now read and the discussion that is on going with regard to this is how is that beneficial and why should we not lynch him(Policy Lynch)? I don't get it though? if he is like this in most games and practically walks through D1 unhindered by adopting this playing style how does that help anyone determine his alignment, and why does he get away with it? I take it from this comment that it is worth the wait?

It doesn't even matter, ignore as much as possible for Day 1 at the very least.

So in essence, Pecan, he gets a wild card into D2?
