I'd like to lynch in {ffery, oversoul, sword}. those are the people on matt's list other than me and hp, and he was killed as a claimed VT, presumably for a reason, and like I said, those reads already aligned with the townreads that I have. My townread on katsuki from rereading wasn't really based on anything concrete, although i can probably ground it in concrete things if i try.

I'll determine what I think of those people individually relatively to each other shortly but I'm probably going to vote for sword.

Normally I'd agree. However, I think it's the most parsimonious explanation for seeing a claimed VT who was under some suspicion killed.

Your misuse of vocabulary aside, it is an equally valid possibility that Matt was killed because he was completely off base and scum want us to waste lynches on his list.

yeah, y'see, scum don't actually think that way. When you opt for an explanation that reduces how simple the situation is (i.e., by saying scum did something very clearly harmful when there would very clearly be better NK options) you are the one invoking WIFOM. In the face of WIFOM, I choose to presume that the simpler explanation with more explanatory power is probably right. I think this explanation has more explanatory power in that it does not raise the questions "why didn't scum kill one of the other people who were on the right track and weren't claimed VT".

So to call your alternative explanation "equally valid" is a false comparison; it's equally valid in that it could also be the case, but equally valid and equally likely are two very different things.

I disagree that it's unproductive to continue analysis of his list, seeing as I believe that it is likely the reason he was NK'd. I shall therefore continue such speculation unabated.

There are two things I'm sure of in this game. Zdenek is town and tierce is town, and I want my bonnet back. I'm more sure of tierce. In fact I'll just cry if I'm wrong, that's how sure I am. And then empire can laugh at me and taunt me for not reading her right, but at least I was right about the dr who game and he was wrong so nanananana. But I very seriously doubt I'm wrong.

Anyway, I digress, and I'm now so sleep deprived my own thoughts don't make sense to me.

Syryana - I *might* be around for a little bit tonight. I just got done with a 5 hour interview, and am going to play tourist and relax a bit. If I don't immediately pass out, I might actually catch up tonight...otherwise I'll catch up tomorrow when I'm on planes/sitting in airports.

You're the only other person who has a grasp on this game it seems.

My revelations was that Tierce is probably town. Normally I would try to get her riled up because I can really only read her correctly when she flares up and lashes out at people but for whatever reason she is restraining herself in this game, give or take a few posts here and there.

I was originally going to call her out for the fact that she kept using her new List Mod status as an activity crutch given the fact that she volunteered for the position and has no one to blame but herself. After thinking about it work, I feel that she is more likely to be town because well as scum I don't think she would be blatantly this bad. I think she's already played the "too scummy/bad to be scum" card as scum before... someone can correct me if I am wrong. I found her whole ordeal with Zach to be incredibly stupid and Zach to be pretty townie, especially after her flaccid diversion away from Zach. I really wish that the minor reset didn't happen because I was waiting for her to comment on Katsuki trying to attribute Fate's play to MattP which was literally what Tierce's whole argument hinged upon when she was going after Zach but was actually the correct application of the point she was trying to make. But you know, I can't have nice things. I was trying to make oblique hints at that post earlier in the day waiting to see if Tierce would ever take the bait or actually in my opinion... scumhunt but well...

. She didn't comment on it within Matt's lifespan so it is essentially a moot point now. Although I guess I can take her vote on Katsuki to be indicative that she has other problems with him, which I am happy about and is generally what makes me feel better about her being town.

re: Matt's death, I'm not really going to get into it at all. It seems like such a useless endeavor at this point because there are two many possibilities and I'd rather just go on things I can still interact with.

I have a quick question for ffery. Do you have a meta relationship with Bacde? Do you guys play together often?

Having no one but myself to blame doesn't mean I didn't spend two nights (due to the crash--had to redo pretty much everything on the site) updating stuff, and then trying to patch up my fail sleep schedule + other stuff. You have no one but yourself to blame for work, yet you also use it as an activity crutch, so lay off--there's evidence everywhere that I was busy.

As for being "this bad", that is tremendously rich coming from someone whose largest contribution to the game yet was today, the 27th. I have been sharing and discussing reads when I have them, and if you can't be bothered to read my posts where this is painfully evident, well, that is your problem, not mine, and you "have no one to blame but yourself". Unlike some people I could name, I HAVE been scumhunting.

You have two options: either i'm town, in which case me saying that the list is a good thing to think about does not make it "squiffy," or i'm scum, and mattp's list contains scum.
