Also you're not really a scum read of mine. That's the fucking point. I hate this lynch pool.
And I don't see why that reaction makes him town at all.- Wisdom

I appreciate your support in general but this made me cringe. Please don't present me as some kind of defenseless little princess. I'd like to think that despite a certain lack of experience, I would be able to defend myself against accusations. In post 474, Amrun wrote: and presenting them with only one likely option who is a newbie and likely to crack under pressure no matter the alignment.
I've got time and I've got basic intelligence, the only two ingredients you need to not let yourself get run over just so easily.
Like I said, in a way it is reassuring to see that newbies are treated as a player that shouldn't just be lynched just because he's a newbie outside of the Road to Rome, but I don't like the way you're presenting yourself as my knight in shining armor coming to my rescue. The "blood of righteousness"-comment really made it look like that, and it comes eerily close to buddying.
I agree Majiffy's action was anti-town. I think one can hardly debate about that. But scummy? He was obviously drunk (I noticed, asked him, and he said it was so), making an ego-trip as the result of an alcohol-high very likely.
I'd like to see him post sober and see what kind of case he has. I'd also like some kind of sign that he's not going to do this again in a later stage of the game. Having a loose cannon like that in a set-up like this could possibly be detrimental to town.- Grimgroove

@pirate_mollie: I feel we're starting to understand each other, but you still did not answer my question that I want answered most. Now that I'm starting to townread you it seems less relevant, but I want this thing covered nonetheless. Truth can be found in the smallest of things.
If I have any sticky read to speak of, it is because you never addressed the original reason why I find the explanation of the initial fluff you posted in a satisfactory way.
Let me re-iterate:
You have stated you post fluff for several reasons:
1. You sometimes use it as a strategy. (you didn't make it clear if that's what you were doing here, nor what the results of that strategy were)
2. You were waiting for your read on Majiffy.
I have tried discussing point 2 with you plenty of times but never got a straight answer. You explained why it is important for you to get a read on Majiffy (which I understand), but you didn't say why this automatically means that you can't get into the game before he arrives.
I don't know how to put this in any clearer way, aside from the bus metaphor. Is my question clear though?- Amrun

Because taking the one scummy challenge out of the equation, of the pair I'd rather have killed piratemollie, and probably out of all four of them.In post 476, Wisdom wrote:Then why did you say this:
?In post 456, Amrun wrote:From your group I pick piratemollie,
That isn't the person I'd lynch given an actual choice. That would be AP.
I'd classify piratemollie more as a scum lean than an actual scumread but I wanted to observe what the behavior was when Majiffy was under attack. As expected, it's adamant defense, but not in a particularly alarming way.
Mollie, did Majiffy tell you he was going to challenge before he did it?- Wisdom

Oh, and grim, the blood of righteousness has nothing to do with you and saying it did is a huge stretch.
Also I don't mean to imply that you're defenseless. You do, however, fall under a certain category of newer players that behave a certain way (until they gain some experience). You're also pretty sensitive. It has very little to do with you and everything to do with Majiffy's motivations.
Majiffy took an action to reduce town's choice and get a fairly predictable outcome -- he certainly wasn't going after strangercoug. He didn't make a case, and he hasn't done anything to push the wagon. I think he expected his lovely newbie wagon just to fall into place. I find him scummy for it.
What is YOUR read on Majiffy?
P-edit: oh I missed that, thanks. Did that affect your read on him in any way?- Wisdom

Strangercoug is just townier to me -- no special reason. His thoughts have aligned with mine more often than several other people's. I may end up compromising onto coug today and I won't cry. He's my second choice.

Did you see any indication of anyone suspecting Grimgroove? In post 486, Amrun wrote:He didn't make a case, and he hasn't done anything to push the wagon. I think he expected his lovely newbie wagon just to fall into place. I find him scummy for it.
Why would scum-Majiffy think he will be able to push such a lynch and gain support?
It's stubborn town-Majiffy who tunnels and thinks that he will make everyone sheep him.- Amrun

I meant in the context of not including Majiffy's scummy challenge which I mentioned earlier. I haven't slept in like a billion hours.
In any case I'm probably mildly incoherent but I essentially meant "coug is my third choice after mollie, who is second fiddle to Majiffy"
P-edit: yes, enomis suspected grim until recently and I'm fairly certain at least someone else did. (And at one point even I called him out for mudslinging).- Wisdom

(Warning, Wisdom-speculation mode on)
The only possible scenario for Majiffy-scum I can see is Majiffy AND Grimgroove being scum.
Majiffy thinks: I will challenge them and instantly vote Grimgroove, but note that I find Coug scummy too
They will think I am an idiot, but town. They will not lynch Grimgroove exactly because I challenged him.
Therefore they will lynch one of the other two, most likely Coug. That way I can keep mollie alive too since she townreads me.
Is that likely? I've learned not to trust my speculations, so Coug it is.- Amrun

Sure that's POSSIBLE. I think it was second most likely for the lynch to fall onto coug (lots of tertiary suspicion there).
That's not to say its incredibly likely but yeah.- Grimgroove

@Amrun concerning my read on Majiffy:
He's absolutely null to me. All I've got so far are his non-alignment indicative character traits. In post 478, Grimgroove wrote: I agree Majiffy's action was anti-town. AngryPidgeon did.In post 494, Wisdom wrote:He didn't.
And Majiffy cannot read your QT.
Therefore, no. There were no suspicions on Grimgroove for Majiffy to count on.
And pirate_mollie didn't seem to like me very much, Majiffy confirmed they were talking about me in their QT.
On the first page AngryPidgeon seemed to imply this is a game-steering trio, so it could have been all the support Majiffy thought to be needing for a succesful lynch. - Grimgroove
