Not really, but I'm interested in hearing why you think so.In post 27, goodmorning wrote:That for some reason they felt it relevant to place a fake joke vote on ffery, then go back to voting their original RVS vote. That doesn't strike you as a bit out of the ordinary (and particularly because AA9 hasn't posted yet)?
I guess my question is: what is the inherent motivation for switching back vs not switching back, and if you really think it matters, what does that say about the relationship between Snowflake and one of AA9/fferyllt?beefycheese- goodmorning

But not me. Why is that?In post 29, goodmorning wrote:I don't know yet, thus "interesting," meaning I want to go look at it again once someone has flipped (particularly MaranGIF or AA9).Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

Because the vote on you makes sense, from an RVS standpoint. It's the switch back that I find particularly worthy of attention.
That said, a Scumflip from you might make me look a bit askance at the hydra, but not very much, and the straight probability of that happening is pretty low, considering the type of player you are (what I mean by this is that if you are Scum you won't flip and if you're Town you won't flip Scum).- fferyllt

The revote on AA9 does look awkward. My thought was that the post looks like a joke combined with a bit of hesitance to push an RVS wagon to L-2.
However, I generally flip pretty quickly as scum now that my town game is well documented. That part of your speculation is on shaky ground.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

Every time I played a game with fery, D1 rvs wagon was always the fery wagon and tbh its kinda getting old.
First few times its fun to see the same person being wagoned
("Hi guys". *gets wagoned* "haterz")
But it gets kinda old.
AA9, on the other hand, is very fun to see her flip shit when wagoned.
Now the serious point:
Being a player who reaction fishes a lot, personally I don't see a point of fery getting rvs wagoned again when she already has been rvs wagoned a lot and she'll get used to it.- Amethyst Snowflake

Also I remembered a game where fery wasn't wagoned d1 but then she was in hydra.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

Ok. I can't think of many games where I didn't draw at least a vote or two on day 1. Except for a couple of replace-ins. hmm.
I will eventually track this down.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

One of the many reasons I find the revote curious. In post 36, Amethyst Snowflake wrote:Nah.

Possibly, but I doubt it given the player list. You think the game is relevant to this one?In post 41, goodmorning wrote:

Missed this the first time around. I am not familiar with the players in question, so what makes this an obvious easy bandwagon target? In post 24, MC RIDE wrote:VOTE: Amethyst Snowflake for picking the most obvious, easy target for bandwagoningStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Mafia - 17-player large theme, currently needs (0) replacements- Amethyst Snowflake

AA9... let's just say that she's one hell of a reflexive player. In post 43, Kdub wrote:

Mara you have so much respect for me. Not a lot to work with right now, but yeah I'll give it a go and try to get the game moving:
Other than me and bork pushing RVS wagons and joking around, this is the first non-RVS point. What's interesting here is that goodmorning just makes a note to himself, but doesn't actually try to push the game out of RVS. That sits with me slightly poorly, because I definitely think that vote was something that goodmorning could have more explicitly used to push the game out of RVS.In post 23, goodmorning wrote:Interesting.
Interestingly, despite the fact that bork voted after kdub for gm, bork's post is the more pro-town post. Early pushing of gut reads doesn't help generate discussion, which is what day 1 is largely about. Bork uses his vote to pressure gm in a way that will generate content, which I like.
gm's response is fine. I agree that the RVS jump back and forth was unusual, but there isn't intrinsically scum or town motivation behind it. I do think that it does make the AS/AA and AS/ffery interactions a bit more important to watch.
This feels like a strange thing to say. ffery points out why.In post 31, goodmorning wrote:what I mean by this is that if you are Scum you won't flip
AS makes a good point about the effectiveness of RVS wagons. They are probably generally better to use on newer players because they are more likely to crack (and regardless of alignment massive flails can generate huge amounts of content). That's actually why I think AA9 is a decent choice to wagon, because AA9 will probably use the wagon to generate content regardless of alignment. Just wish she would show up >.>
Alt talk is null. So is discussion about why AA9 is a good target to early wagon.
That's my take on the game so far. bork is a slight townread and I want to see the other players come into the thread before I start giving out any serious scumreads.Copyright © MafiaScum. All rights reserved.
