I don't have quite the warm fuzzy you do about AS.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

My original plan was to play good enough to get nightkilled, which obviously failed. Claiming outright is cheap and not optimal.
I feel like bork is throwing around too many town reads with not enough scumreads (ie. none)

I apologize profusely if I'm doing something incredibly stupid, but I am a Town Ascetic, which the wiki has said to be a burden for town.In post 96, fferyllt wrote:I've never seen the role before. Pretty wicked.
MC, what was your rationale for not claiming right away?
I was recently in a 9p game that had two millers. Two anti-town roles in a game this size isn't out of the question.
So a Miller, Hated Townie, and Town Ascetic?
Scum claiming miller? In post 92, goodmorning wrote:

Something to keep in mind.In post 1, RachMarie wrote:Specific to this game rules.
1. This is a upick role madness game there are no VTs.
2. This game may or may not be balanced.
3. Characters may or may not fit with the way they were in the books, in other words a good guy or gal in the books might just be mafia here and vice versa.
4. To simplify things for the mod lol. There are no 3rd party players.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

We are PL'ing a Hated role, but not a miller role? why?
also, I don't think asectic is that much of an anti-town role.
I think both of these abilities are legit, though being asectic and being hated can also be scum roles. I'm leaning MC is more likely be scum over TMT.
I am still unsure about Bro, though I do think GM is likely town, I like her reactions to what has happened so far- Amethyst Snowflake

This is a micro game and L-1 is when people actually start to back off from a wagon. That's a risk I didn't want to take. For the second sentence, my claim is going to force the town into a mislynch. I have a little something extra that prevents me from getting quicklynched at lylo by scum with no repercussions so I figured I'd be mostly safe even if I didn't claim. In post 116, goodmorning wrote:

Scum knows who the town is, so when they don't have any fabricated reads to throw around, it is really easy for them to say someone is town because they know they're going to be correct. Town's job is to find out who is scum, so townreads are of little help unless there's a really small pool of players left (which is not the case here)In post 116, goodmorning wrote:

I see. I think I know what you're talking about but I'm not going to spread it around, info like that would be best kept out of the hands of the Scum though they might be able to guess. In post 120, MC RIDE wrote:

Hated townie claim aside, post 120 does not give me a pro-town feeling at all. MC is not today's lynch, but I might have some questions for him tomorrow depending on how this all plays out.
Town miller+hated townie+ascetic is still plausible in a role-madness type game, especially if those players could have other aspects to their role. I'm not going to say that one of themmustbe scum just because of that. I find the manner of TMT's claim to be a town-tell because I don't see why scum would volunteer that information when he did.
