I dont get his 2nd paragraph either

fully agree with your last statement... odds of him making a correct guess are 1 in 4 and if he was false claiming the real pr would have subtely moved attention on deri without outing themselves, especially if they are a doctor. The reason we dont have a countercalim by now is because it is too late to do so and the counterclaimer would come off as scummy

No we should be narrowing down the potential scum pool at this stage not keeping it wide open. Deri claimed a role that is legit in my eyes.

And even if there is a doctor in this game they could have counter claimed deri's claim and claimed bullet proof themselves FFS they would then likely be safe from the night kill as scum wouldnt want to wast the kill

No if the doc claimed to be BP at the start of day 2 they'd have a good chance of lynching deri if he was falseclaiming... like aparts from his claim that is as good as confirmed town he hasn't really acted town at all (likely due to lazyness)

If the claim was Doc rather than BP and from a particular player I think I'd believe it over Deri's. Not sharing which as that would be more helpful to Scum that anything.

Town lying in claims usually turns out quite badly, plus it would look fake if PR-X didn't claim immediately after Deri.

@Guy: Maybe you missed my post that says there are times when it's OK to self-hammer, like as Scum denying the Town more info or as VT at L-1 with deadline right there and no intent out on your head.
The latter is not the situation here.
