What's even more compelling is that Dante didn't immediately cross-vote you.- penguin_alien

They have in the theme games I've played here. Either Dante went rogue or the mod opted for no fake claims.
Look at the PRs the girls mafia had. JK, Sidekick, GF. I'd say that's enough fire power to offset no fake claims.
Take a gander at my scum games. I don't bus gratuitously, and I don't make wild plays. HP Mafia is as close as I've gotten to bussing, and that was when I was at L-1. Look at Dante's play: do you truly think I'm scummier than him?- Varsoon

It doesn't matter if you're scummier than him if you're both scum.
Also, I'm pretty sure that we already lost. How can we get a majority vote on scum if there's 3 scum and 3 town?- Varsoon

Alternatively, you don't even have to be bussing at this point. He could legit be VT and claiming and you just CC'd with the character.- penguin_alien

:headdesk: How about addressing the point that one scum team at least had a ton of power, enough to offset having to devise their own fake claims?
Hell if I know why Dante isn't cross voting. Oh, wait, you're doing it for him.
And if we're both scum and it's 3:3, why bother with any of this? I have to assume we can still win. If you unvote me.- penguin_alien

Unvote
Either it's not 3:3
or there's an SK
or something isn't right.
I have only been in one theme game outside of this one, and I was town there, too. The scum-teams had a lot of power, but I think they had fake-claims, too.- Varsoon

Damn it, this is getting us nowhere.
I agree, Dante is really scummy, especially given the lurking and yesterday's hammer.
However, I've been suspicious of your slot for awhile. You lurked really hard until just recently, where you've been playing a straight-faced town game.
The whole counter-claiming character flavor seemed really fast-paced, deliberate, and planned. The fact that both of you were online at the time and that there'd be such an suspicious overlap in your roles/characters is really unnerving.
P-EDIT: Calvin's Parents would fit. Also, what the hell is a double-voter?- Varsoon

If it helps, my most recent scum game is HP Mafia in Coney Island.
I was.pretty lost the first three days with all the role claims, true and otherwise.
Dante and I don't have the same character, as he's lying.
Double voters are a PR that has the option of placing two votes. Generally they can be on different people, and sometimes they PM the second vote so it stays anonymous. Often the second vote isn't used until crunch time, but it's not a hard and fast rule. It's in the wiki under doublevoter.- Varsoon

Also, I was right about NS-scum and pushed that case hard. So suck it, Varsoon. On the flip side, you have a good point about PA. Scum typically get safe claims. And "Invisible Calvin" doesn't sound like a character claim someone would fake out of the blue.
VOTE: penguin_alien for overplaying her fake counter claim. Nice try.Coming soon: 50 Shades of Null

I have played with you plenty. You're one of my favorite scummers. I don't recall ever playing with scum-PA, though. So I can't guess what you would do as scum. My hunch about your move has to do with the fact we are in LYLO. All you need is one mislynch to win.In post 1868, penguin_alien wrote:You've played with me plenty; is such a move anywhere near consistent with my play style?
Riddle me this: why were you so reluctant to join the NS wagon with me yesterday? You claimed to have him as one of your top scum reads and yet....Coming soon: 50 Shades of Null

I'm not claiming until Eddie does. I admit that I was wrong about him being a slimy girl, but I'm still getting bad vibes from him.
I checked Eddie's page. He last visited the site earlier today. He's here, and he's lurking. In post 1839, Varsoon wrote:I realized that EddieFenix is on V/LA and hasn't posted anywhere on-site since then.
Well, assuming that everything TD said his role in-thread is true, here's what we know about it: it was a one-shot ability, it technically targets two players (but not really), and he used it on Rubicon on night two (here and here). In post 1839, Varsoon wrote:No clue what a Duplicator is. Maybe it gives someone the PR abilities of someone else? So, if you target a cop and a VT, it'd make the VT a cop? Otherwise, no clue.
Your theory sounds plausible. If TD copied Rubicon's PGO ability and gave it to someone else, then that might explain why there were three deaths last night instead of the usual two.
As far as I know, it hasn't been confirmed that Scum have safe-claims in this game. Roflcopter, Boxxy, and Nobody Special never had the chance to claim anything before they died and flipped. In post 1846, Varsoon wrote:Wait, no, wasn't it mentioned earlier, in-thread, that in games like this that scum are given unique flavor to fake-claim?
Penguin, your counter-claim is bullshit.
Scum would just use their unique flavor/character to claim because it doesn't overlap with any of town's.
Not always. Some mods do and some mods don't.In post 1848, Varsoon wrote:I thought scum always got fake-claims in theme games.
Why do you say that fake-claims aren't required? Anyone with any knowledge of Calvin & Hobbes would probably be able to guess that Susie or Calvin's parents or Miss Wormwood would probably be Scum.In post 1847, penguin_alien wrote:Apparently scum didn't get fake claims this game. It's not required.
If we had already lost, we wouldn't be playing right now. The fact that the game isn't over shows that Town still has a chance of winning. In post 1852, Varsoon wrote:Also, I'm pretty sure that we already lost. How can we get a majority vote on scum if there's 3 scum and 3 town?
I think we're facing one of two scenarios.
1.) The other Scum team is comprised of Calvin's mom and Calvin's dad, in which case there's 4 Town and 2 Scum left.
2.) The other Scum team is comprised of Calvin's mom, Calvin's dad, and Miss Wormwood, but Pope was one of them. Since he's not included in the vote count, we are still facing a situation where there are 4 Town and 2 Scum left.
A bit heavy on flavor speculation, I know, but that's what I'm thinking at the moment.
If you're Town and you get mislynched today, there won'tIn post 1868, penguin_alien wrote:Unvote, unless you're scum. In which case, have at it, and we'll lynch you tomorrow.bea tomorrow. Not unless one of us is actually Bulletproof or a Bomb or something.- Skullduggery
