Hmm. Interesting that you state you're above newbie level. I'll keep that in mind. If you think I'm pushing you to hammer, don't you think I would have hammered? This point makes little sense, if any. I have the tools to do what you supposedly say I'm pushing you to do. Therefore, I am not pushing you into anything, and your statement is false. Why do you need other people's approval? Are you concerned of your figure if Cheery flips Town?- fferyllt

tip you are doing that reflective thing. I always want to lynch that reflective thing with fire. :/Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

Why is it noteworthy or "interesting" that I tell you I'm not a complete newbie? That sound be more than obvious considering I came in here actually playing and not stumbling around. I've played on and off for a few years in the Off Topic/Forum Games section of a Pokemon site, I should know what I'm doing after that much experience. I'm here because there's only about 20 players there making a very stale and rather painful meta. What I'm defending here isn't my actions, it's my ability to play regardless of the foreign site-exclusive slang which you seemed to have called into question.
If you're going to push "why haven't you done this?" when I already told why I haven't done it, it looks like you're pushing the issue. Which is why I brought up that you could have hammered. There's a very simple reason to not want to hammer, because if something happens, it's on the person who hammered (see cAPS's accidental early hammer of bauss Day 1). That's why it could be beneficial for you if I hammer. If I have the ability to hold off for a little while and let anybody else come in if they come online in that time, is there any reason I wouldn't?
I'm actually confused here because why wouldn't I give that courtesy if I'm able to sit around and wait? We're hardly pressed for time.- fferyllt

When I see posts like this, I always want to say something snarky about "read the thread". With lots of adjectives and extremely improper nouns. In post 675, TheIrishPope wrote:Hmm. Trollie you taking over the "wait and hammer when can't be online anymore" with your intent or just hammering here? I was planning on right now (midnight my time) but you're here. I'll hammer if no response soon but it's on you if you wanna keep it up.
I haven't even seen a Cheery claim so I doubt we're getting anything else out of him at this point.- fferyllt

I'd like for whoever intends to hammer to give Cheery time to claim. A lot of players don't claim without that, even at L-1. And in newbie games that protocol tends to be more closely followed than elsewhere on the site.
Though, I think nearly every time I've ever posted iintent to hammer someone else hammered before I got around to it.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

Town before lynch: knows they're a mislynch but wants to get all of their reads out so you won't mislynch next Day. May point out suspects and reasons (such as bauss did) because that's helpful. Presents cases and convinces people to abandon the wagon because someone is scummier for areal reason.
Scum before lynch: knows the Town is right and has to divert the wagon or cause confusion if they can. Often doesn't have a case because they know the opposing player is Townie. Example, "Jason didn't answer my questions vote him not me." If not answering questions is as hard of a scumtell as you want us to believe, the setup is broken because there are more Scum than Town.

And even though she has worked her way into people's hearts again, I'm still very wary of fferyllt. There's something I don't quite like about the way she's going after TheIrishPope. 676 sounds like the setting up of an easy lynch, with a fairly cheap excuse. In post 680 she seems to have realised this, and adds an afterthought on the same post that is too emotionally laden for being an afterthought.
At the risk of sounding repetitive: Still got fferyllt pinned down as my second scumread.- Nobody Special

tbh I am not sure if I think TiP is scum or not. But, that exchange with Lynx reminded me of this game: http://www.forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopi ... 84&t=28429. He was lynched on day 1.In post 688, Grimgroove wrote:And even though she has worked her way into people's hearts again, I'm still very wary of fferyllt. However, there was another game going on at the same time that he and I also played. http://www.forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopi ... 84&t=28260. Here too, he did the reflective thing. He was town.
Then he stopped doing it. I was meta-ing another player for a game, and noticed that he stopped partway though this popcorn game. http://www.forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopi ... 51&t=28626
Since then, in games we've played, I haven't seen that behavior again until last night. So it didn't used to be indicative of his scum game. It was more indicative of being under pressure than anything, I think. And now it shows up in a situation where he's under no credible pressure at all.
The offness of my tone can mostly be attributed to beer, though I was feeling pretty snarky about mafia most of Sunday.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

I object to being hammered, Jason still hasn't answered my question from the start of day 1.In post 666, Lynx_Shine wrote:Because calling intent to hammer Cheery at this point unless anyone objects.
(and for those that are obviously blind to actually having stuff work - if you need my response to something, bloody ask it to me as a question)
This is useless information unless you actually know how a player plays. Generalisations like this hurt a lot of towns. In post 666, Lynx_Shine wrote: Town before lynch: knows they're a mislynch but wants to get all of their reads out so you won't mislynch next Day. I personally don't bother with cases - the fact I'm getting lynched means town isn't going to be listening to me anyway - and if they want they can easily see where my mindset is by reading my posts. All my reads are mostly explained in them - I don't care if you want compactness - either do it the hard way or leave it.
Activity overview (under the page numbers at the bottom of the page) tells you how long people have been inactive for - and therefore neither prod or claim will happen. (unless Jason actually gets off his arse and answers the question - I'm not claiming until at least that happens)In post 686, Lynx_Shine wrote:I've got to leave for the night anyways, I'm leaving it here. See if Cheery posts a claim before getting prodded, it's been two days now I think. We've got a week according to the last VC so there's time to wait for him to come back.
This wanting to hammer and not knowing how to do it and refraining from it or whatever makes me believe Lynx is highly likely town. Though I myself am making a generation here that 1st-time scum would just hammer with this opportunity. It doesn't clear Trollie since he makes no sense anyway.Everything happens for a reason, except maybe football.

That's a lot of words for saying you don't want to claim despite hammering intents.
Funny you should say that.In post 691, Cheery Dog wrote:I don't care if you want compactness - either do it the hard way or leave it.
The same thing goes for my case against you.
If you want to do it the hard way, you can begin by replying to posts 420, 421, 424, 426, 428, 430, 434, 436, 446, 456, 535, 541, 544.
You only have fully replied to a handful of my posts, like posts 528 and post [pos]556[/post], but even there your replies were shamefully inadequate.- Cheery Dog

Lets dsee then
420 - my reasons are already in thread about why I found that scummy. What you see is all there is
421 - There's nothing to response to here, how I phrase stuff is how it is phrased.
424 - nothing there to respond to (except you buddying to dead town which I have done already)
426 - There's nothing to response to here, how I phrase stuff is how it is phrased.
428 - and this is?
430 - Why do I care about a post regarding fferylit?
434 - I picked up obvtown on obvtown as did someone else, panic!
436 - Why do I care about a post regarding fferylit?
446 - come again?
456 - so fucking actually possible to do anything with omgosh
535 - There's still nothing in me becoming sarcastic to this "case"
541 - I don't L-1 people when inactives/replacements are happening. Anytime anywhere.
544 - Same shit of you not actually having any reasoning for anything.
Yeah that wasn't worth responding to.Everything happens for a reason, except maybe football.

Make some sort of actually useful argument and maybe - but right now, I'm still waiting on Jason to answer what he found good in your catch-up posts that was actually any use whatsoever that made you worth sheeping to fail.Everything happens for a reason, except maybe football.

It's up to them, but they just better make sure that information gets outed tomorrow if they decide to not wait.
I think actually it was just the trying to bribe people - It's quite possible something else would have happened if Kues was active around the time. I think I did actually stop caring about doing anything day 1 when there was so much inactivity, and it's carried over to day 2. My vote practically stayed because I wasn't happy with the lurker lynch of Kues who I had identified as town early on - and I'm really not sure of my ferry read. Bugger if I know why with that one either.Everything happens for a reason, except maybe football.
