Ok, situational:
NewbScum sees ExpScum claim a Hated Townie d1 in a setup, a claim which eventually carries him throughout the game to victory.
ExpScum explains in the QT what WIFOM is, and that used efficiently, a claim that "no scum would ever make" can win the game for scum.
NewbScum then decides to claim Hated himself, but fucks it up by claiming something entirely ludicrous, such as a role that can be lynched in 2 votes.
ExpScum would never claim the latter claim, knowing that it is both a) a ludicrous claim which will bring an excessive amount of heat, and b) something easily falsifiable when people decide to policy lynch the slot.

In other words, a claim SIMILAR to the one Matt made can very easily be made by Experienced Scum, but I can only see the EXACT claim being made by DUMB, NEWB scum trying to PLAY LIKE Experienced Scum.

Matt is neither dumb nor newb, ergo town.
