Leaving aside Elli's play completely, I have absolutely no qualms lynching a player that has claimed Milton. As Amrun alluded to, Milton makes very little sense as a town role, let alone a gunsmith. I mean, considering the theme, Milton hadn't even handled a gun in the show as I recall. If there was any "town" power role that I would assign him, it would be something like a hider (he often "hides" behind the Governor) or possibly a watcher (the Governor tasks him with spying on Andrea). Both of these tasks he does at the behest of the Governor. As was already mentioned, he does end up turning on the Governor, but that was only after multiple opportunities to do so.

Honestly, if the Governor & Co are the scumteam here, then he would be one of the last names to be associated with town. Other possibilities that could be more "scummy" would be the Hispanic guy and the father/son duo.

Amrun, beats me. If I had to guess, I'd say because Elli doesn't really know the show? Or maybe the Mod thought it was a decent fakeclaim? Either of those explanations is more savory to me than the idea that Milton is a town role given the flips we've seen so far. Another point, I'd be much more willing to bend on the idea of Elli being a good lynch if he was here trying to sell us on it. I'm not saying get in here in all caps talking about how he's a bad lynch and we'll all be sorry, I mean concessions about his lack of play thus far, his reads, what about his wagon looks bad (if it does at all), etc. Toog has got the right idea (minus all the "he should be banned" rhetoric).

bork, I am assuming you mean Elli's claim. Yeah, partially there's always something in the back of your head that says that a PR claim should be given a higher priority over a VT claim, but that's just a small, ancillary consideration. pitoli was superscum and Metal Sonic has done zero to redeem this slot. I will be laying a more thorough case out against that slot soon. Sugar and Amrun have already been hounding me for it. I promise I am doing it though and if the town wants to wait on me, that's perfectly fine, but it doesn't matter to me either way. The game has slowed down enough that I know I will finish soon.
