People just don't like 3v3 or dominion 'cause they're bad at it 'cause they're not used to it.

does dota2 let you 1v4 if you're fed and you outplay them?In post 23211, PJ. wrote:The number 1 way to w a bronze in a bronze solo queue game is rely on mechanical skill, the number 1 way to lose bronze solo queue game is rely on mechanical skill. This isn't DotA)
if so, that'd be pretty neat- Saki

If you outlevel/have the right items, you can 1v5, no sweat. In post 23227, yessiree wrote:

last game; our mid picks karthus into zed; our bot lane feeds the fuck out of vayne after i ganked bot and got them a double kill; then our teemo/thresh sell all of their items and just build zeals and charge into baron over and over until the game's over
I got demoted for that shit. Un fucking believable. All of my hard work for the past two weeks just POOF down the drain.
Although Im not great at carrying, I've been having good luck with my friend in Silver 2- AngryPidgeon

Oh, it was so frustrating. My 2 old friends from HS and I got on and ran some ranked 3v3s.
Won our first 4 placement matches. Friend DCs before minions spawn in the 5th. We 2v3'd for about 15 minutes, he came back and we were up on kills. Just barely couldnt pull it off with Lvl 1 warwick at that point though and Yi/Corki weren't tanky enough.
Got Silver 1 despite that though right out of placement, so meh.- Staeg

Meh this isn't exactly bad play? Zed isn't that hard of a lane for Karthus (I mean... compared to him facing Fizz or Kass or something). And Karthus never has an easy lane. His main objective is to just farm a shitload so he can become a monster late game.In post 23219, xRECKONERx wrote:our mid picks karthus into zed
Edit: Wow someone seriously ran a teemo bot (and against a vayne) *cringe*vezokpiraka: If you are playing on EUNE we can duo.

The thing is that Zed can just kill Karthus on cooldown which makes his whole "farm up" objective pretty difficult. The other thing is that generally against Zed you want to pick someone who can roam just as much as he can because Zed is going to be constantly doubleganking your mid or top lane and destroying them, and Karthus cannot help alleviate that by ganking as well because Karthus ganks suck.In post 23233, Ser Arthur Dayne wrote:

A good Karth can play the matchup, but it's not fun. You have to make sure you ward the paths Zed can take to roam (so you can tell your side lanes when he's coming. This means 2 wards every b), and you have to let Zed push the lane and farm under turret. Karth can farm decently well under turret; lay waste is easy to CS with and Karth does okay with mana. When his clone is down, you can push the lane back against him a bit.In post 23235, xRECKONERx wrote:The thing is that Zed can just kill Karthus on cooldown which makes his whole "farm up" objective pretty difficult. Also, when he goes to roam, you push mid like a mofo and ult if they get too aggressive in another lane.
pedit: Karth ganks are fine. You don't have to move to do them- KageLord

CLG Link just picked Karthus into C9 Hai Zed btw. Obviously it's a bit different at the highest levels, but just throwing it out there. In post 23235, xRECKONERx wrote:

My experience with that lane is that Karthus dominates it pre-6, and if he takes exhaust should be ok post 6?Yes my Lord, but questions are dangerous, for they have answers.

Apparently it's hard for the Karthus since he's pretty squishy early. Zed just has to keep harassing and then he can all-in kill at 6 if Karthus isn't full hp. Also, as mentioned before, as he is harassing Zed will push the lane and roam a lot. The Karthus can only push in response, but if the jungler rotates in for defense, there is pretty much nothing to do but wait to see if ult is necessary.- InflatablePie
