Vote: Elyse

Right now I'm getting town reads from Desperado, Stubbs and Uber. Since they seem to be on the level and seem to see you as scummy it helps me feel good about this vote. It just seems to me that you are trying very hard to come off as town, but you don't seem genuine to me, in fact it seems forced and fake.

I've addressed that concern from other people already and I didn't want to keep saying the same thing over and over again so I let it be and instead of defending myself, I tried to articulate a read on him.

I noticed this as well which seems odd to me. If someone was flat out calling me scum I don't think I would congratulate them on their post being excellent. Haven't decided how to take this yet.

Oh dear. Seconding Elyse here. This is so wrong; if you consider Slandaar's posting excellent, then are you agreeing with his reasoning and thus admitting you are scum? You don't address anything he's said against you at all, thus I can only conclude that this is the case!

Also, if Slandaar's post is excellent and you therefore agree with his reasoning, then how can you say Kid A and Elyse are your scum suspects when Slandaar has them pegged as town?

This is not making any sense at all.

Also, Slandaar, looking forward to your further summary/reads up till current. Are the reads you posted in #166 based only on what you've covered thus far, or are they influenced by later events too?

Finally paging Gee Gee - where you at? Hoping you pop your heads in here soon and give us your perspective. About the only thing I know about you is that you had a townish read on ASP. Can you give us more than that now?

Hey could you give some reads instead of constantly asking questions that don't go anywhere? Yes this is snarky but looking through your ISO you don't have much of a definitive stance on anyone besides Kid A, which is an awful vote.

I've found value in Buffy/Drac's questions.

@Formerfish: Your vote's convenient and safe. Does anything else stand out to you from anyone and why?

Because of how they were pushing a wagon in RVS along with some other things such as Elyse informing us there are no jesters, that is very valuable information we don't want any of those pesky jesters surprising us when we think we have a scum lynch. Seriously though, do you think Elysescum would try to mimic me as she did? It is quite... outrageous from scum. It was a good reaction as I said in my post.

Sorry about the lack of activity, I
did
ask my other head to make a post but I guess they either didn't get the message or were busy themselves.

I've had a long day and I don't feel like working through everything right now, I should be able to make a reads post tomorrow morning. (It's night for me right now.)

What? Formerfish said that saying "Yay for Slandaar" is me trying to look town, so I was being facetious in my response to him. I don't get your response here.

Alright so at this point, Slandaar, Desperado, Kid A, and UberKang are my strongest townreads. I'm getting a townfeel from pdmedic too at this point.

Formerfish is scummy. Not going into that again. He also piggybacks off Desperado.
A Simple Plan is scummy. Basically refer to Slandaar's post and his reaction to it, which I've already pointed out. His town lean from the answer to my question is gone.
Buffy v Dracula is scummy for asking tons and tons of questions, most of which don't go anywhere, and not having a stance on anyone besides Kid A. And the vote on Kid A is bad because Kid A is a strong townread of mine for his RVS actions and staying true to his townread on me. (not because it's a townread on me specifically, but staying true to a townread in general)

Stubbs is tough to read but I feel like he cherry picks posts to respond too so he's leaning scum. Alexcellent, Gee Gee, and mnemonicdevice are null.

GeeGee, if either of your heads would be willing to comment on the current scenario that would be much appreciated.

I'm sort of curious-- you seem to think me asking questions instead of posting reads is scummy, what with that scumread and all. Why is asking lots of questions scummy again?

Not having strong reads at the start of D1 is a perfectly normal thing. I'll post my reads when I feel they have factual basis to them. Until then, I'm going to continue to ask people for elaboration.

Oh, one last thing. The post I quoted was in response to me questioning Slandaar, who seems to have you down as town. And you're very angry at me for voting Kid A, who thinks you're town as well. Chainsaw defense much?

I have no problem with asking questions. Nor did I say asking questions was scummy. However, asking tons of questions, most of which have no follow-up, combined with a lack of content on players, IS scummy.

Its hard to get anything going right now when Alexcellent and Mnemonic haven't posted in the last 48 hours, and we have two apparent prod dodge posts from Gee and pdmedic.

@Mod: can we gets prods out to the two mentioned above?

Also,
Unvote: Elyse

Going back over your ISO, you've been very proactive in trying to figure out scum. I think you have some solid leads, and others you are misguided about. My vote on you may have been somewhat biased by the rvs stage wagon. I'm leaning town on you now though.

Vote: A Simple Plan

For the following two posts.
In post 157, A Simple Plan wrote:
In post 150, Buffy vs Dracula wrote:@ASP, You can't see any potential town motivation for not outing ones reads?
Hiding one's reads doesn't provide anything for the town to go on, and it just feels too secretive for my liking. I suppose one could do so as town to to try to protect his or her interests later in the game and protect himself from being framed for a NK through his scum-reads being targeted. I still feel like it's more anti-town because it gives us less to work with, but now that I think about it more, it gives a more null read on Slandaar than straight scum.

Elyse is only making my scum read on her a bit stronger and gives me less doubt, and her 153 feels odd, especially in response to Desperado's 152. I feel like my vote on Kid A is pretty good, and the OMGUS reaction to my vote in 133 makes me feel that much better about it.

The purpose of all of these questions is to force players to elaborate so that everyone can form better reads on them.

I got the impression that Fish was buddying ASP earlier in the thread and vice versa, which they wouldn't be doing if they were both scum.
