So I have my laptop for a while and was able to do an exploratory study on "i give up" and how it predicts alliance. It seems that my hypothesis that scum rarely say it was false; in a course of 202 games, scum said "I give up" 8 times and town said it 18 times, giving scum a rate of 30.76, not really significant either way.

If you narrow these to statements of "I give up" in "I'm about to be lynched" contexts, however, 3 times it was said by scum and twice by town. I can't conclusively say anything about that besides admit that maki may very well be lying.

This is Bert, my confidence is shot, my reads have been way off this game, and I really don't have anything to say in LyLo because (1) I hate LyLo (2) I've played a horrible game and (3) I'll let Nacho take over the reigns from here on out to give us our best possible chance at coming back for a very unlikely town win, because it's looking like a scum win at this point.
