If I thought there was a sizable chance that Depserado was not scum, I'd agree Mantis is the correct lynch.

Except the chance of him being town in my eyes is less than 10%. Especially after that hammer. Like, come on, he didn't even let the girl claim!

pos·i·tiv·ism (pz-t-vzm)
n.
A doctrine contending that sense perceptions are the only admissible basis of human knowledge and precise thought.

That's saying go with gut. Do you have your terms mixed up?
Wayne's reading...odd, but I think he's trying, he's just decided the quickest way to the market down the street was to create a causality portal and tesseract between the two spaces rather than walking. down. the street. ~ Ghostlin

Positive analysis is the rational one, but lets not argue definitions.

Nati, I completely agree the hammer was awful, but do you really think it was bad enough for scum to think that doomed desp?

You're not even trying any more. Waynegg made a false statement about the setup which I corrected while implying he's a bit of a moron. No "attention shifting" here. Notice how I didn't invite discussion about the setup, but rather wanted to avoid it by clearing up the misconception.
untrue about not trying anymore. i'm just becoming extremely suspicious of you, at this point.
you said yourself - that you've had nat & i as town... and desp as scum. in fact, you've been making large efforts to not see either of us lynched.
if you are actually town, i don't think you're putting enough emphasis on your scum read of desp, that you've had for pretty much all the game. but instead, you saying this is the 'right lynch' (even though it goes against my gut.. is kinda lame. esp since you've had desp as scum almost the WHOLE TIME.
i know you know that scum fake claim ALL the time, right?

My reads so far have had Nati/mantis as town and desp as scum, so I really want to believe them. On the other hand Occam's razor doesn't like Nati's description above at all, as it requires a decent level of scheming by the scumteam. It also requires that the scumteam felt desp was a certain lynch for today, which I'm not sure is true.
Why do you think everyone is yelling at you?

And Mantis accused you of scum pretty much just because you voted her...
it was the fact that it seemed like he kinda gave up questioning desp to further figure him out. or at least, wait before putting a vote down.
not too mention - scum has to be somewhere.
and i've got you, tater, nat and waynegg as town.
so it only leaves a small group for me.

I'm not. Just wanted a clear understanding of what you were saying. Arguing semantics is bleh and I don't enjoy those conversations. What you said was just opposite to what you were doing so I needed clarification. Fair?

This is what caught scum looks like

How about you quote me that tidbit where Mantis said they had pregame talk, cause when I read the game WORD-FOR-WORD twice I must have missed it both times. Maybe you just thought he did because it was in you scum QT or something. :P

*sigh* I am so tired today, I've been on a lot of adrenaline today lol

Look Serra

what can we do to make this game interesting for you

that goes for Nat too

we lost our townleader

all of us need to step it up and keep this game interesting

This is true, we (including you) have put pressure on Desp EACH day so far

you know that

it's intuition vs. conscience (I don't know how else to describe it) at this point

I DON'T KNOW what to do

Waynegg just told me I'm listening to the wrong dudes this game, like it's a 50/50 thing and my strongest townread is AWOL

@wayne: that's fair.

@mantis: what sort of phone do you have? Mine does all formatting fine.

Basically, I do really want to trust my reads here, but when there's something more objective than my reads pointing the other way, I don't think I should hold on to my reads too much. I really think across all the games I've played town has been hurt a lot by people sticking to reads when they shouldn't.

it's a piece of crap replacement phone that i want to chuck in a bush, one of these days.
that's why i made this post:

... i just saw the unvote of serra in the link, not the pregame sentence part.

2nd sentence - that's fair enough. just kind of annoying though.
i WILL go through desp's ISO again and point all him and his scummy ways all throughout the game, if you like.

Also, one part of what I meant by "Occam's razor" that I haven't really stressed enough is that desp-scum requires scum having a roleblocker AND believing desp would be lynched AND thinking of the fakeclaim to have desp take someone down with him. desp-town
just
requires my reads to be wrong.

@Bert: I didn't really mean this game. I was actually positively surprised that Wisdom stopped tunnelling on me halfway through yesterday. Both of my recent town-losses fall under the category of town trusting in something other than logic.

Serra, take it out of this game.

If your strongest scum read in any game comes in under these circumstances (one more ML to get to mylo with no flipped scum) and tries to QL someone you have been much more waffley on because they had in investigation that proved them scum, what's you gut reaction?

One step further

You realize that investigative role only tells who their target targeted and not what they did, in particular when the said dead guy was the most prolific player the day before they died.

And even one step further

They claim tracker which is the easiest gambit for scum to use in that scenario? So easy and common it's even in the listed gambits in the wiki...

What is your action?
