I have no idea how to read TiP. I was going to leave that to Mala or you guys who have played with him a bunch.

My problem with an SD scum read is the post where one of them was like "you've never learned how to read me" or something like that. I tend to get gut town reads from those types of statements. I know it's really weak, but it's one of my mafia weaknesses as it's something I often say as town to someone who reads me wrong, but I rarely say it as scum just because I don't think to say it when I'm actually being read properly.

But, if SD isn't scum, I really don't know where scum is because I want to lean town on almost everyone else right now.

Reading back through this, I'm remembering the first game I played with Ceph, which was the Amnesiac large theme game. I scum-read him for most of day 1 because he kept saying awkward-to-the-point-of-scummy-sounding stuff that would ping like crazy.

After day 1 I had a group of 5 players in my scumpile, and I thought 4 of them would be scum. Cephrir was the only one of those 5 who was town.

Translation: I'm not calling my partner town because its too obvious. I'll read him as null-town even if my statement says null because i want to a) find an easy way to potentially distance and b) subtly make people think he's town

My issue here is the fact that it was one of those "weak, not willing to give info" reads that scum LOVE to impart onto buddies

He is pretty distressed about his towngame, has a good scumgame. I liked his metashift comments earlier and his "I'm gonna try something new this game", but I don't like that we haven't seen anything from it. That's probably due to the crackheaded pace this game has, but I'll revisit it in the morning.
