It has nothing to do with whether or not people can take being called dumb by a stranger on the internet, what it has to do with the mentality of the person who can never refrain from making insults to people like that whether it's to gain a reaction or whatever. At the root of this, the game is supposed to be fun, and it's impossible for it to be fun when one person acts like they're better than everyone else and treats people the way that you do. It's also impossible to have a functioning game when people play with their egos instead of their brains. It just becomes ego bashing and that's not mafia.

It's kind of like on a playground. I suppose it makes you feel better to put others down, but it doesn't really do anything to make you better. It's a false sense of ego boosting, but in the end you just look like a jerk.

He couldn't remember the last day or so very well; his memory had been fuzzy ever since his collapse shortly after his heroic rescue by the dashing Max and Grit. As he topped the hill he saw a truly depressing sight: a small dog at the bottom of the hill, crushed and broken. A viewscreen was flickering next to the dog; Hill trudged down to investigate studiously avoiding looking at the mangled corpse, whose lips were pulled back and fixed in a hideous rictus grin. Hill picked up the small device to see the message, possibly the final message from the poor hound...

Tears streamed from Hill's eyes; though the poor dog was dead, its last act before dying was to tell others not to mourn. It had lived its life in full.
