Don't be a leaver and don't make your teammates want to leave. Benefit from 5/9 of leavers being on the other team.In post 24077, xRECKONERx wrote:The fact that Riot STILL doesn't have some prevention loss system for leavers is fucking insane.
I just lost a game solely because someone quit 5 minutes in then never came back. 18 LP down the drain.
Seems to me like it's working just fine.- xRECKONERx

I mean, nobody on our team raged or anything. Our mid just went "gtg" and disconnected five minutes in... and this happens more frequently than not. Even when it's honestly not their fault and they're having internet troubles, it isn't fair to penalize the other players for it. The game is a foregone conclusion, so making the other team wait 20 minutes is a waste... and it's unfair to the people who are still in the game, who aren't disconnecting.
The solution obviously isn't simple. Something where the game ends if a player is disconnected for more than a certain length of time, like Dota2, would be ideal. Penalize people on the losing team less, something akin to the loss you'd take for dodging out of a ranked queue, and give the winning team full benefits. Penalize the disconnected person the full amount of LP.green shirt thursdays- Ser Arthur Dayne

Internet issues that could not have been predicted and were not the person's fault. In post 24080, DeathRowKitty wrote:

Server issues that were not button-pressed in time.
Random ragers that just leave after dying once with literally no provocation from anyone else.
All of these currently affect everyone else on the person's team negatively in a way that has absolutely nothing to do with them.
IMO, the fairest way to go about this is to put a check on any person who does not deliver or take damage for at least five minutesin a rowduring 2:00-15:00, so that if they end up with a leave at the end of the game or are gone for more than half the total game time, everyone not grouped with them would have their losses cut down to 1/2, 1/3, or 1/4. It would still be somewhat abusable, but it would be harder than just nothing at all.- JDodge

thats not actually true, especially in the current meta of tri-force building ADs (corki especially) who do significant amounts of magic damage (which brandi also touched on)In post 24053, AngryPidgeon wrote:
Except that bot lanes are going to be more AD heavy by and large and you can get away with running the MR/level runes because you need armor more than you need MR down there. In post 24036, JDodge wrote:
because it definitely makes the most sense to take something that scales with levels with a late cross-over on the most xp-starved things in the game whose second-most important duty is lane-dominance amiriteIn post 24035, dramonic wrote:I'd go scaling maybe if you're supporting or something.
Like I said, Zyra is one of the few that I am concerned about.
in addition, popular supports include zyra (significant base magic damage), thresh (significant base on-hit magic damage), sona (significant base magic damage), fiddle (significant base magic damage); the only ones that tend towards significant phys damage in a kill situation are blitz (who still has a significant amount of front-loaded magic-based burst from 6 onwards), leona (who has a magic damage based-passive which adds significant amounts of damage to her combo in tandem with her AD), nami (who favors defensive lanes and has an on-hit magic damage steroid), and janna (who favors defensive lanes and can't initiate a fight against any bot lane that is fully awake)
other significant non-obvious bot lane sources of magic damage include trist's level 6 burst combo/explosive shot harass (her only real power until late-game) and varus' % dmg stacks (which are a huge trading tool)- PJ.

Isn't this true for every lane?Ankamius wrote:Can someone who mains top lane tell me what the appeal is? I literally can only see it as a contest of who can be more annoying than their lane opponent.
Yeah, I did some digging and she's either Vi's sister or C (the criminal Caitlyn has been looking for), but it's obviously someone related to ViIn post 24082, Ser Arthur Dayne wrote:I read a rumor somewhere that the next champ is Vi's sister. I look to see if I can find where.

Toplane itself is not so cool. It's the moment you get on the map that's fun. You move, they'll run.In post 24094, Ankamius wrote:Can someone who mains top lane tell me what the appeal is?
