I know I haven’t focused on this game as much as I should have. Nacho, Tammy, and BBMolla were doing a kickass job rooting out the scum and I sort of tuned out a lot and have been less than helpful so I apologize for that. I had been keeping a list of reads but I never found the need to post them since I just kept assuming that other people will find scum.
Here is where I am at regarding the game.
1. Imperium
Nacho’s reads list at the beginning of the game struck me as very townish because of the level of depth and slight paranoia inherent in all of those reads especially when considering the most well-known players like Jake from Rainbowdash. Much later when Tammy’s response that they were considering the same thing (regarding Desperado being too sure about JRBD), I felt certain they were town. I find it unlikely that scum-hydras were discussing that and I don’t think she was referring to a fabricated discussion. In any case, Tammy is quite transparent when she is town. Not to mention that they both have been whopping scumbutts left and right. So, I am close to 100% town on this.
2. BBmolla
Does not want theory talk. 102 where he unvotes toasty and foses him while voting Jake also reads as very town. This is a clear response to toasty’s vote and the flexibility in fosing someone who he had been previously voting HoH reads as town. It would more difficult to pull it off as scum and rather unnecessary too especially when peacebringer seems to be occupying BB’s time. Overall, Molla has been extremely obvious to read. Two of his reads Gnomeo and Iceguy were both scum. I doubt he was bussing the scumteam. His response to Titus’s FOS on him also read very genuine and may have been an “overreaction” but it was a very, very town reaction. I can’t describe this in words but it came from a mindset of skepticism in the person attacking him in a very “come at me bro” kind of voice that read as incredibly honest and from a town state of mind.
3. Titus
Proposes pressure votes to indicate who the house thinks is scummy. Then says that the decision should be left to the HoH’s because a cop could have a guilty on a convincing town leader. Does not seem to trust popular opinion as scum can manipulate it while they can’t manipulate the truth.
Says that if a lot of players voted to pressure someone and they weren’t put up for eviction, we’d want to know why – in other words, she uses this to develop a read on the HoH. Also, uses it as accountability so that people vote for the person they were FOSsing. Argues that scum can and will manipulate the will of the group.
Post 57 and 62 argues theory with Jake/Dash. Brings up a seemingly good point in 61 saying that if scum know all of the votes before nightfall, they will be in control of the lynch. However, it fails to account for the fact that scum have to commit to their votes as well.
While I disagree with Titus’s posts, her internal thought process is extremely consistent. I find it fallacious when she said that mafia will manipulate popular opinion but this seems to be something that she truly believes. The progression of her thought process which culminates in a hilarious exchange at 187 and
203 shows that her approach to the game is entirely different from mine and possibly most others. However, she is doing what she believes is best for town based on her viewpoint and has been very consistent about that.
4. RachMarie
Initially had a scumread on her but now I am not too sure. I spent a ton of time meta-ing her and she usually promises ISOs but never delivers. This isn’t a scumtell for her and neither is her inactivity. To actually tell her apart, I looked to see how hard she FOSsed people and how convinced she was in her reads. Her read on Desperado looks to be very genuine and it mirrored a lot of my own read on him.
5. ToastyToast
I get a few weird vibes from him similar to what I got from Toogeloo because he wanted me to be HoH which makes me worry whether he is scum and I have my reads wrong. However, there is also town motivation to do that because he agreed with my reads and thought I was more expendable than Imperium. His latest post read very genuine and I feel that he is likely town.
6. Toogeloo
Does not like that multiple people are trying to lead us at the beginning of the game. Feels that mafia are more likely to want to lead the town. Calls Minion town in 22.
Agree with Toogeloo’s 42 where he FOSes Bulbazak for his pointless questions of Minion and points out that Bulbazak’s plan is pro-scum.
Argues theory with Bulbazak.
Skeptical of cop claims; doesn’t believe that there are a lot of night power roles. Very slight paranoia of scum getting credit for bussing.
I also agree with Imperium about his
33 reading town. The tone of the post reads like a genuine townslip.
Toogeloo’s latest posts have me suspecting him for reasons I can’t put into words very well. I felt that his posts were too smooth and something seems off. I trust BBMolla’s opinion on it that he is probably town because I am certain Molla is town and correct on most reads and in any case, I can’t really explain what it is I found off.
7. Bulbazak
Disagrees with reveal since it should be obvious. Points out that we can always question the HoH the next day. Agrees with KBW policy lynch. Proposes using FOSes as votes. Questions townread on Minion.
FOSses Minion for keeping his vote on the same random person saying that that is incredible trust to give to a random person so early in the game. Post 35 is scummy. 37 is somewhat townish.
Says that HoH needs to make a decision for the good of the town, not what town wants. Is afraid that the town is open to being influenced. Supports the HoH choosing whoever the HoH wants.
Bulbazak’s motivation for doing this is likely because he feels that he is not persuasive enough to drive lynches. If this is the case based on his meta, it makes sense as town. If he has usually got the lynches that he wants as town, then he is likely scum in this game.
Don’t like 56 where he says that RBD tends to be like that and is town.
206 is slightly scummy where he says that “Keeping your vote for HoH on a person you randomly selected after you realized your mistake is not.”
FOSses Gnomeo for using the same format for the reads list.
Based on Bulbazak’s latest posts, I lean town. I don’t buy that only town get frustrated but his continued push on Minions and lack of push on me feels like it is coming from a town motivation and from genuine beliefs. It would have been easy to attack your attacker when others are attacking him, and after all, scum need a lot of mislynches, but I don’t see Bulbazak going that route.
8. Desperado
I am conflicted here.
I don’t like 48. Desperado seems too sure about Jake/Dash’s affiliation. From what I gather, they seem to be fairly influential players which is another reason I find it particularly troublesome.
Calls BB town and says that there is one scum among Titus and Toasty. Lack of paranoia.
Desperado, I really would like to know how you were so certain in RBD’s affiliation based off of a single post. Would you not expect RBD as scum to provide a similar plan?
On the other hand, a lot of his later post gave off a very town vibe. I disagree with his theory that at two of me/Rach/Toog are scum but it is the way he said it that made me lean town. It read as very genuine and honest and gave me the feeling that he really thought he caught scum.
9. keybladewielder
Troll. I don’t know what else to say based on play here. I’ll need to check meta to develop an opinion either way which I will.
10. Minions
- Initially forgets that the votes are for HoH’s. Responds to Toogeloo’s points and his townread by saying that Toogeloo is spot on. Proposes that we each get a pressure vote and the top two are the ones to be nominated by the HoH.
- Jerry is of the opinion that the HoH needs to decide who to put up as this enables the town to read the HoH better. OMGUSes bulbazak.
- Agrees with Jake/RBD in post 78 saying that Titus’s posts haven’t been actual scumhunting posts.
- 76 shows a lot of paranoia about scum gaining towncred for bussing although in the short term, bussing is good. Check with meta to see if he is generally paranoid.
My latest views on Minions is that I am starting to see Bulbazak’s side of things. I was initially too sure of Bulbazak’s guilt that I hadn’t noticed Gnomeo’s reaction to Bulbazak actually implicates Minions just as well as Bulbazak because the logic for it is similar. Leaning scum.

A quick note for Tammy regarding meta: I felt that you would suspect me based on meta for several reasons. First, I am lazy as scum but put a ton of effort into my town games in general. Second, I know you think of Empire's meta-case on me as flawless and try to go by it to determine my affiliation as evidenced by your read on me in Swagtown. I don't think you realize that Empire's case was not comprehensive enough to cover for how I play as scum. It is a little bit simplistic because he assumes I never tunnel players as town and I am always uncertain where I am usually a lot more certain as scum. The fact that he is wrong is proven when he believes that I am scum in Rarefaction II in the dead thread where he was spectating. I did spend an inordinate amount of time tunneling.
In this game, I've mostly been tunneling Bulbazak for a large portion of the later game. When you claimed that I was scum, I sort of had a feeling that I knew where you were coming from. But I think you should look at games we've played together instead of relying on cases made by other players. (If you already have, great). I can explain the town motivation behind all of my posting on a meta-basis if you want but first I need to know what it is that you feel off about my posts which is why I was asking you to explain your suspicions.
