it's not so much the reiteration of the read, but the way you did it. attaching "-town" to the end is odd. i don't think i am reading too much into this. it looked like you were trying to set up a situation where db looked bad for not explaining his vote on a town player.

I called ak out on her SoS vote. The other two(DB and ns) I agreed with, though, so I'm obviously not going to push them as hard.

I'm saying its objectively bad to attack a player who for the most part town read with no justification, me pointing it out doesnt change that fact--it just means i felt it worthy of pointing out. I was also hoping to tease out his reasons behind the RT vote.

i disagree with this on so many levels, and it's one of the reasons i was wavering on my read on DB towards the end of the day. i think i specifically pointed this out as a reason DB might not be scum.

it might be objectively bad in the sense that it's bad play, but it's not objectively bad in the sense that it's scummy.

but anyway, i digress.

nothing you have said, and i expect nothing you will say, will make me think differently about my perception of what you said yesterday unless you start doing stuff that looks really town today (and so far i'm not seeing it).

why don't you expand on some of your reads? talk a little more about why ns is scum, and who your other scum reads are, and maybe some of your other general thoughts on the game.

I'm pretty much caught up to the top of this page. But I'm in a bunch of games and I'm balancing deadlines and making sure I don't get lynched in those games. This day just started and we already have two new replacements, not to mention all the ones from the end of Day 1. Yes, I've read this game. No, my attention isn't being focused here right now. I don't consider myself a strong Day 1 player and so far, Day 2 feels like Day 1 again.

If you have any questions and what-not, you're better off just listing them as they come up. It makes it easier for me that way.

Alright, sure, Muffin. I'm not known for my verbosity, but I'll try to flesh out my thoughts.

So, my scum reads right now. Notscience, Mario, kind of Brian Skies. Mario is for the lack of, well, anything this game--if we don't deal with him, at the current rate he will get a free trip to LyLo. Don't like that one bit.

Brian Skies is mostly POE(shitty, I know), but I like SoS, you, kitty, nacho, Cephrir. That leaves Titus and Pro hawk as other choices--for Prohawk its too early to say. I didn't pay close attention to HC or mogamma, but other apparently have them as town read which is points in their favor and Titus, well, I think I already explained that its pretty much pure gut on her--the fact notscience is voting her is points in her favor too. Brian Skies...I had him in my top town reads upon entering the game, but I feel as time's gone on, he's slowly moved into the background. You can only use 'catching up' as an excuse for so long. I initially had him up there also because he came off as friendly--I know I've mentioned this to others before, but I tend to let thongs like that cloud my judgment.

So, notscience...where to start with this guy. So, town ns is a hugely rash entity. He likes to misuse terms like 'confbias', calls himself obvtown, and typically acts like a shot/mildly scummy. In hardboiled, he outright stated he does that on purpose(side note: my actions vs ns that game were 100% legit and I would have done the same exact thing as town to prove a point). This game, however, his posts have no sense of recklessness to them. It all feels calculated. I understand he is trying to work on his skills, but this drastic a change(literally one game)...is odd to me. Moreover, I don't think he has taken a strong stance on fucking anybody all game--he cheerleadered the DB wagon from the sidelines(626), his entry post is a waffle stack. I guess I should rephrase--he took a strong stance on Titus, who as I mentioned I'm townreading. Not only that, but he had fuduzn among his strongest town reads at one point, but later recharacterizes him as 'mostly posting fluff'. It just doesn't make sense...there is no indication of his movement from Strong Town to Strong Scum. The 'amished' this is fucking stupid. He also was pushing for a Dessew lynch at one point(minor ding in his direction).

Natirasha replaced Saki, who was absent most of Day 1 before replacing out. All I remember from Saki is that bad PGO claim which I'm still scumreading. As for Nati, I didn't like his first set of reads. But for reasons I cannot explain yet (site rules and stuff), I currently have an aversion from reading too much into catch-up reads lists from replacement players. From what I'm gathering from you guys, Nati is a very difficult person to read. I still have the slot in my scum pile.

I didn't like how Titus tried to start a new bandwagon on notscience at the end of Day 1. The timing of it just didn't sit right with me considering she didn't put up much of an argument supporting it. I can't go too much into detail, but even if she is town, I'm extremely skeptical of her scumreads unless my townreads can convince me otherwise.

Mario's Day 1 activity is scummy, but I still think it's just regular apathy. End of Day 1 just looks like lost town, and I would know (speaking from experience).

I don't remember much about the HC slot to be honest. It kind of just disappears for me as I read through the game. But ProHawk should be able to give me a lean one way or the other on Day 2.

I'm sorry for having to keep saying I can't elaborate on certain things. But I'm in like 9 games or so right now and I only have one completed game on site, which makes me somewhat skeptical of my Ffery townread.

If you have any other concerns, keep 'em coming. Although, I won't be able to address them until Saturday night or Sunday at the earliest. Lots of reading and stuff to do.

This probably better said in the postgame of that game, but although the logic of your case was going to be flawed, and the flaw would have been simple to point out, it wasn't going to change your read. You were at the point of building a case to fit what your gut was saying. And that case might or might not have convinced Guyett. I'm relieved that Bert and I didn't have to learn if you could be convincing enough.

what counts as a strong stance? if you mean firmly calling people town or scum, then he took a fair few strong stances (including the main one you left out - the dessew read). if you mean something else by strong stance, i'll need you to elaborate here.

Ceph inherited a slot I had as town. He seems to be doing something that I do with a few players if they happen to be in a game with me - using me as a sort of stake in the ground for judging other players' reactions. Given how cautious he was about me in the Dixon Hill game, this raises a small flag.

RT I still have as town. I feel like our impressions of the game state are diverging, though, and I'm trying to find the root causes of that divergence.

ns I'm rethinking. I'm probably going to call him town, though.

You didn't ask about him, but Prohawk is not doing much to improve my views on that slot.
