Like I think my main problem with the role is I have no idea what I'm supposed to do during teamfights.

If I stand in the back I'm only in range to attack the tanks, till a mobile as hell assassin jumps and melts me or the tank with a cc jumps on me and then people melt me.

Or if try to just run and kite I will literally get to shoot MAYBE too shots at someone important before the team fight is settled down (a.k.a the front line is dead).

you attack whoever their squishiest frontliner is
e.g. a dumb xin that built a bt over something more useful
you DONT HAVE to dive the entire fight to kill their adc/apc

make sure you stand next to some of your teammates though
since when that assassin jumps you you'll need them to keep him busy while you unload on him

Priorities of ADC in team fights:

1) Avoid damage (and therefore dying).

2) Deal damage to things.

3) Deal damage to squishy things.

Optimize.

Yeah, ADC literally is nothing but just pumping non-stop damage. If you're able to hit things that go splat, you make them splat. If you can only hit the ones that can't go splat, you splat them anyway and splat everyone else later.

Kiting is kind of a problem, but that's a game-specific thing that takes more experience than anything to get good at. If you have any problems on this subject, it's the one I'm best at, so I'll likely be able to help with it.

My MMR went from Plat II to Gold I when I moved back to the east coast for college.

50 ping difference.

Granted, I started playing a lot less, but the ping difference hurt a bit. You don't really notice how bad it is until you start missing flashes by like .01 seconds.
