It's a package: establish an artificial town bloc and sort the not-bloc. And his behaviors line up with that objective, however you or I may disagree with the objective, itself.

The first few hours of this game have thrown a highlight on one of my answers to that mafia compatibility questionnaire. My answer in that instance really does reflect what I think is most important as a town player.

Trying to sort me normally seems like a better idea than trying to sort me in this weird way.

@Nacho, we had Mastin wrong early in the Walking Dead game. I remember that his buddying/pushing a townbloc in that game made me a little paranoid but on day 1/2 you were thinking town. It took a couple more days to get to a scum read.

We think this game his approach is a little different. Do you think so? If so, do you think the differences point to town-mastin

I think it's a lot different. I know he's been playing with different openings lately and not all of them are necessarily alignment-indicative, but this one was strongly town to me. As scum, his motivation would be to mask his partner out in the open, which is sort of dumb and not actually helpful at all, but the motivation is town as hell and similar to how I planned on opening the game, so the difference is mastin telling me he's inside my head and actually being inside my head.
