In post 149, Mindgamer wrote:Hi everyone.

Jmo wagon (page 2)

The game was stalling a bit, until Flay made the first push. A wagon was formed, after which Flay drew conclusions from every player's reactions to the wagon. This is how a good townie should play and I townread Flay for it.

Notscience wagon (current)

Another wagon that Flay started. I do not feel this wagon is strong, however. Most voters point towards Notscience's absence of good content, rather than the presence of scummy content. For that reason, I will not support it. I'd rather look for actual scummy behaviour.

One of the reactions that catches my eye is this one:
In post 133, The Acting Method wrote:Endernys: Null, not enough info to go off of. Hasn't posted yet today but other than that no real noticable RQS inaccuracies.

Fart Bane: 46: I agree this sounds interesting. Will you stop making jokes about Flay's title? Seems town.

jmo: Gut town read. May change later... feels different than when I IC'ed him.

Mr. Flay: Gut town read, very townie to me... Of course, I might be committing the same mistake I made my very first game on site. But right now Flays town.

Notscience: Feels town to me.

Side note: not too happy with so many town reads.

Number_0ne: I'm leaning scum on him.

The-Duck: I'm leaning towards town on him.

Zakk: Zakk feels a little scummy, but something about his last vote seems town. Also, even the slightest meta research done on me in n00bs shows all of his complaints as null. His vote on me seems very scum mindset. Also, I don't like his attitude like he knows he's going to get killed soon. With to my recollection, no votes on him, nothing really to point him out. I wouldn't expect him to be dying soon. Don't see town motivation in saying something like that with no reason.

Not supporting a Notscience lynch.

UNVOTE:

VOTE: Number_One

Also, @Flay: At present I haven't gotten anything that I can use straight off the bat from my RQS. I've explained how my RQS is designed up above, we are currently in more of a way two I'm feeling from how my Iso went through. I may go and read through the Iso's again to see if there was anything I see that I missed last time.

But right now, Number_0ne and Zakk are my two top scumspects.
You go against the flow of the Notscience wagon. But you don't provide any reasoning, you just decide on a 'gut feeling' that you haven't expressed before. Instead, you vote someone that has no votes on them. And again, you didn't express suspicions on N1 before. I feel this is an empty response to the Notscience wagon. You think Notscience is town, but you aren't making any effort to prevent his lynch. You scumread and vote a clean slot, but make zero effort to start a wagon.

The Acting Method was also the one to start the random question stage, but didn't do anything with those questions until Duck commented on it. The random questions are usually used to get discussion going early game, not late game as TAM is claiming. I find this to be another reason to be suspicious of TAM.

These two thoughts lead me to here:
Vote: The Acting Method
I'm going to address your first question second and your second point first.

The way RQS works for me and my questions goes 1 of two ways, either it A: gets some discussion generated early game. (usually the lynch all lurkers/liars question) (which I stated) or B: it doesn't start conversation and then it may pop up again mid game when you notice some hypocracies going on. (You can look at my wiki for a game where situation B happened. I think I even mention it.) I never claimed it was late game either so Massive Misrep.

Now to your first. Please read the post you quoted again. Let me explain to you exactly what I did. I did a process called ISO, where I look at each player's post in isolation to all of the others. You could argue that I didn't express any prior suspicions of people for practically anyone I could have voted. Because I didn't say those suspicions before the ISO. AFTER the Iso, (which also serves as a reads list) I voted one of my two chief suspects. The one I didn't like after the tone of his posts if memory serves, I've also said that I will go back and relook at him to see if I was mistaken.

Please explain to me how you see my actions as scummy if you actually look at the whole instead of your own little mindscape. Because I think I might have a new scumspect in you.
All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.

ISO is lazy, though. You seem to be going through the motions rather than actually scumhunting, and you are STILL selectively answering questions. Very reactive, very scummy.

I like this Mindgamer kid. Will reread tonight and may consider a vote switch (I believe TAM is at 3 right now, unless zakk has switched).

I think that game is good reading, particularly notsci's ISO. It's a ton of tiny posts and not much scumhunting.

Contrasted with his Town replacement play in NG 1382 I'm comfortable with my vote for right now. Only thing giving me pause is he said he would be somewhat limited on access due to the laptop thing.
notsci is that fixed yet??

Comfortable with my vote where it is for now, but would switch to TAM to avoid a No Lynch. Everyone who hasn't already should post their top two suspects (three if absolutely needed), WITH REASONS. Full lists are not needed on D1.

What's your take on his behavior? Is it similar to his previous games, or significantly different?

I think it would be best if we consolidate our votes on Notscience, because he's still just asking questions to just appear like he's contributing. His answers to questions are stalling/evasive (for example: Number's follow up question would have been logical for NS to do in the first place)
I'd expect that you would make your time count if you have fairly limited access to a computer, but he keeps up in post count easily, but contribution is severely lacking.
If NS is not happening, TAM seems to be the only other option.. I don't like the tone he uses against Mindgamer, It's quite demeaning.. he's neither a newbie nor a 6 year old, so no need to explain things like ISO to him, it feels like an attempt to make him afraid to look stupid, and because of that not question your actions as much. I think I can see myself switching over to TAM, but only if it is clear that an NS lynch is not happening.
In that light, TAM, can you explain to me why you are town-reading NS?

Unvote
Vote: TAM

While my suspicions on Jmo aren't gone, time is running short and my vote wasn't going to get anywhere.

Between notscience and TAM, I'm less suspicious of notscience. While his responses haven't been particularly good, I find the reasoning behind the votes on him isn't that solid. Mindgamer brings up some good points on TAM, and the fact that he's voting me isn't helping either.

To be fair, you could say the same thing about TAM. Is anything besides inertia making you stay on NS instead? Because if only one of them is scum, now is the time when we'll start to see pressure to lynch the other from his buddy...

tl;dr: I would lynch either right now. But I'm prejudiced against NS because he went after me in such slipshod fashion, I'll admit.

It's for the biggest part the meta, and a little bit the feeling that TAM is putting in slightly more effort than NS.
about pressure from a scumbuddy to vote for the other (I know, I'm doing the same for TAM), Jmo is quite hypocritically saying that TAM has done no scumhunting.
In post 153, jmo16mla wrote:TAM has done no scum hunting. vote him. hes scum.
It's even the second time he's jumped on someone else when pressure on NS is gathering. First to Fart Bane, later to TAM. Both with no or bad reasoning.

Response to The Acting Method

Are you trying to counter my arguments or are you trying to discredit me? It feels like you're doing the latter, which is more likely to come from scum. In any case, I don't see how your ISO'ing is relevant to my arguments. Even now you still haven't made any attempt to get a Number_One wagon going.
In post 152, notscience wrote:Mind, can you give a full reads list please?
I don't see any reason to post a full list at the moment.

I think this is a good observation, but the conclusion is not valid. If Notscience does not have acces to his laptop, it only follows that he is not able to give the game full attention and his posts may lack depth. Notscience will eventually get his laptop back, but his role will not change. In other words, I'd like to see how he plays when he gets his laptop back. Let's use today's lynch on a player that actually exhibits scummy behaviour, like The Acting Method.

On the subject of a second suspect, I'd like to nominate Fart Bane for that position:

Spoiler:
In post 27, Fart Bane wrote:EDWOP
vote jmomla16
In post 42, Fart Bane wrote:
UNVOTE: Unvote jmo

This doesn't mean I don't believe what you said could be true. I just don't want a quick hammer or a lol hammer. I'm working on a bigger post.
In these posts, Bane exhibits a desire to lynch Jmo. However, he unvotes because he doesn't want to see a quickhammer. This is inconsistent with his later vote on Notscience.
In post 105, Fart Bane wrote:
Warning, that puts ns to 2-L
In post 120, The-Duck wrote:Thats L-1, please declare intent to hammer before doing so!
In post 124, Fart Bane wrote:We still have some time to burn. Lets wait for number 1, enderyn and jmo. See what they think. Perhaps maybe a claim by not science.
Bane does not retract his vote even when Notscience is put at L-1. He even suggests a claim from Notscience. Certainly, this must mean he really wants to lynch Notscience. But then we get this:
In post 125, Fart Bane wrote:My vote for not science was to put some pressure into her explain her meta based argument.
Bane claims that his Notscience vote was just for pressure. But how can he leave a mere pressure vote on at L-1 when he showed such cautiousness before? Why does he suggest a claim from Notscience when he is only voting for pressure? This does not make sense.

My laptop was delivered to my moms house today while she was in the shower >.>

Will be tomorrow.

As for the change in playing, I personally find myself better when I do a late switchin than when I start up. My reads when I've been in a game longer aren't as good usually. Granted, I haven't been giving this game the attention it deserves (which will change w/ my new laptop.

As for the question of TAM's behavior, I'm not finding this too off what I've seen before. He definately is kinda a background person.
