Game Moderators: Request Co-/Back-up Mod Privileges Here

Hello all,

If you are the moderator/co-mod/backup mod of a game, and you did not start the topic for the game do the following:
Post a link to the game
Give me your role in the game (i.e. moderator, co-moderator, backup moderator)

If you do not do so, you will very soon lose access to moderate that game.

How will this affect List Mods? Will I still be able to mod any thread in New York?

List mods will be mostly unaffected. They will need to still maintain the group. That will allow the user to create topics in the appropriate game forum. They will be able to moderate any topic in their forum. And they will have access to add a topic moderator to any topic. So the change is: instead of adding game mod and backup mod to the cappo list, they add the primary moderator to the list and after the topic is created, add the backup/co-moderator to the topic permissions.

It's a little more work for the list mods, but I'll try to make it as painless as possible. The initial seeding will be done en masse and the form for adding new moderators will be easy to use (I hope).

I know it sounds obtuse but just wanna make sure here...

Not sure I understand the question.

In the game forums, the person who starts a topic will have moderator rights with respect to that topic. The only thing the user groups will be for is to allow the user to actually create a topic in the game forums.

Phoebus wants to know the mechanics of how List Mods will bestow/retract Co-mod rights.

I had understood that the List Mods would see a button or something on each thread, allowing them to give permission to a person to moderate that thread.

PS: I keep track of back-ups in New York, so for that forum I don't mind manually enabling back-ups.
