Last two pages are rather dull. The Notscience/Bane exchange doesn't tell me much about their alignments. Only thing I'm curious about is Bane's apparent amnesia concerning votetags. He started the game using
[b/]
, then voted correctly three times in a row, but is now back to having the
[b/]
problems. I'm not sure if this is clumsiness or just an act.
In post 249, Mr. Flay wrote:In fact you've NEVER mentioned The-Duck.
Same for me really. The-Duck is an odd one: He's asking good questions and his cases are logical, yet I don't feel much of a presence from him in this game. It's like you could cut him away and this game wouldn't be much different.

That was more of a VI stance. As I called him anti town. I don't think I mentioned him being scummy.

I just don't have a good feeling about either. One of the two is scum. I find it unlikely that both would be lurking at the same time.
Vote one of us, then. Your play has been exceptionally weak today. Yesterday you were voting and applying good pressure, today you're not doing anything.

This is going te be a double post, but I actually want to continue a bit: This game feels dull because nothing is happening. We have used up half of our time and there have been no meaningful wagons. We have two L-2 wagons, but neither is close to a lynch. This is not going to give us any hints towards scum.

I think we should really start to consider a lynch before we get into 'deadline lynch' terriotry. Who do you guys want to lynch?
For me, even though I do not consider myself part of any bloc, the people on Notscience's theoretical bloc are actually the people I do not want to lynch today. That leaves Number_0ne, Fart Bane and The-Duck. At this point I feel like lynching Number_0ne because there's an actual case on him, but I wouldn't be opposed to voting Bane or Duck if there are good arguments against them ('scumslip' and 'he's not in the townbloc' aren't good arguments).
I would like to hear everyone's scumspects now. This means concretely that I want to see:
The-Duck: Who do you want to lynch besides Jmo (that wagon is not going anywhere atm)? What do you think of the Number_0ne and Fart Bane wagons? Would you support either?
Jmo: Who do you want to lynch? If you say Duck or me, make a case. If you don't, explain which other wagon you think has scum (N1, Bane or Notscience) and vote accordingly.

I'm out of time, but you catch my drift.

No, they do not have to have listened to you in that game. Just an example of a completed Town game where you felt like your argumentation was solid.

Well I don't have much time for a substantial post but I will answer mindgamers question. Early on when I messed up my votes I tried to do it manually. Then when I started getting it correct it was because I did it using the advanced bold settings. Then Since I was on a phone I tried to do it manually then failed. I finally did it automatically on a phone (so much work). And it was successful. I feel embarrassed that I am now losing my snazzy 1 voted achievement but it is a must because you are curious.

Mindgamer, I'll have to agree with you on me having no/low impact, I got the feeling most of what I said was just being ignored/overlooked.. I try to get better at that, if you got any tips, I'm always willing to learn.

About the current possible lynches:
Fart Bane: I'm not sure at all.. most of his posts are kind of useless (questions that can easily be found in the wiki etc.), he contradicts himself every now and then (f.e. , he lost his scumread on NS because he is playing in a way that benefits scum?). But on the other hand I think the request for replacements feels very townie to me. Scum would just try to get us lynched based on that I think, unless either one of us is a very strong player, then I could see the scum motivation, but I don't see myself as a strong player yet.

N1: his scummieness is based on him being insecure rather than insincere.. Being cautious isn't a bad thing, but it gets bad when you do nothing to remove that feeling.
What worries me about his play is that he's getting less concrete and precise in what he thinks of someone.. His case on Fart Bane is so minimalistic and without real content, compared to his posts in D1.
I don't think it's surprising he noticed it being hammer quickly, as he knew he voted the L-1 (not mentioning it seems scummy though).

If I have to chose between these two, I think N1 would be the best lynch.

However, I think there are better reasons to lynch Notscience over him.
He promised us to give the game the attention it deserves, but comes out of Night 1 saying that scumhunting isn't working this game, despite not trying it. Unless his scumhunting is twiddling thumbs untill a scum falls in his lap.
After that, he proposes to form a townbloc, because finding town works better then finding sum. This is most definetly true, for scum. It's way easier to call someone town than it is to call someone scum, based on the simple fact that only one of those things requires lying.
The reasons he chooses to put people in his townbloc are at the very best unthoughtful. Jmo and flay both get in because of the quickhammer and the response to that. If both are scum, Jmo's response is also quite a logical thing to do, so the conclusion that they are both town is too premature.
His last bit, about people not having to follow cases also seems scum motivated to me. To me it reads like he wants to drop some case on someone, and then not push it so nothing happens with it and he can continue to pretend like he's trying to find scum.

UNVOTE: Jmo
VOTE: Notscience

ps. Fart Bane, somewhere halfway trough day 1 you promised reads on everyone, have you finished making them yet?

Discredits ahoy

There are several players who base their whole playstyle around finding who is town and then using PoE. It's just as viable.

Someone's butthurt they aren't in the townbloc

Notscience, you seem more focused on making your townbloc than getting an accurate lynch. You don't seem to care about who the mafia are, and your reasoning to accuse someone or defend your ideas is "they're not in the townbloc, so their argument is invalid".

It's true. Why? Accurate lynches in a pool of 3. Hey, that's funny! With 2 scum and one town in that pool, we lynch all 3 and auto-win.

Your last post before this, Post 243, is all about casting suspicion on Notscience. Now your focus is on Notscience again. Yet you stick to your Bane vote. Aka your 'let's get this game going' vote. Very scummy.

@ Notscience: According to your reasoning, anyone who isn't in your townbloc is scum, correct? Why are you not voting Number_0ne then? Surely a L-1 vote is more useful than a L-2 vote. On top of that, the N1 wagon only has people on it that are in your townbloc. So I'm confused why you're opting for a L-2 wagon instead.

The reason I didn't change my vote is because it would make the entire situation more volatile, with the 3 people who aren't on notscience's townbloc putting him at L-1. I felt that the situation would only escalate further, resulting in either the townbloc being created or an early lynch. However, I do recognize that both FB and notscience being mafia is unlikely, yet individually I find them to be the 2 scummiest suspects.

Unvote. Vote: Notscience

This response signifies to me that this whole 'townbloc' thing isn't something Notscience actually believes in. I'm asking specifically about his vote because Notscience states in Post 252 that he considers Bane/N1/Duck equally scummy, but refrains from voting in the direction that his own 'townbloc' wants to go. How can these two things exist together? On top of that, there's the YOLO response. Not only does this blatantly dodge the issue, it is in sync with Flay's earlier meta argument about Notscience hating to play as scum and not putting in much effort when he's scum.

Yes, I am aware that this vote differs from my thoughts earlier this page. Also, this puts Notscience at
L-1
.

I actually have liked playing scum recently, check 1496 (the game right after Flay's only experience with scum-me.

Trying to paint apathy as alignment indicative is also bad. See:DC vs marvel. I was town, and I didn't actually care after the vig killed obvtown
