I've had success with Ori top in specific situations. As long as you know how to ward, no big deal.- Lady Lambdadelta

Kat/Akali are a little different.. I meant more the Ryze top, tf,vladd, karma, any apmid champ really.... Because you already have an APcarry mid... namely with myself, I main Lux... So AP top is a little overkill on the ap team dmg. Plus it lowers our AD dmg verse things like tower. BUT**** WHy i hate it, is if it gets behind it cannot go tanky like most bruiser tops can... and therefore becomes utterly useless and leads to a squishy team.
I like tanky top, tanky jungle or support... because I'll handle plenty of the dmg, just vie me a meat shield and maybe some peel."ITT Benmage is making Shakespeare look cool. I need to bring you to my high school." -Vi

Karth works, you scale better, and heimer isn't that scary actually. Lux used not to work because you did her job better in lane and I think that might still be the case. 9/10: don't play melee against him, they are awkward matchups. Ahri works very well, veigar is a hardcounter (requires a bit of practice but veigar's stun range is so large that it gives you the opportunity to reply to a little poke by bursting heimer down at some point). There's a bunch of adc's you could play against him.In post 25157, Ser Arthur Dayne wrote:

Heimer is a strong laner, hard to gank, but little burst, even at 6 where his ult-rockets are hard to actually burst you down. Anything that can somewhat keep up with the farm ending up on your tower, or doesn't mind getting a lot of farm while not getting on the map yet works. Ahri is particulary evil because with her ult heimers turrets aren't too much of an issue since you aren't among them too long as you blow up heimer. Every melee assassin is just asking to get poked down hard as he tries to get to minions. That doesn't sound fun.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.- RayFrost

In lane, if you're dying to heimer, you're doing something wrong. He pokes, but has basically no kill potential. I mean, sure, poke eventually can kill you but... it's poke. You can go b / use health pots / have built in sustain / etc. There's never really a chance for heimer to do some major play to kill you. P. much relies on your jungler ganking into his turrts and getting fucked / similar kiting shenanigans. His late game scaling isn't even particularly different from old heimer I think. Only really significant change I see there is the e being more useful. Turrets are still his major damage source, rockets are still kinda iffy in teamfights.
Removal of cdr on his ult probably hurts a lot too.don't you feel silly now?- PJ.

Malz completely and utterly outperforms heimer.
Malz e + voidling + q = stronger wave push and clears heimer's turrets for free 5 gold. Money in the fucking bank.
Heimer lack of mobility means malz clears shit and then vomits eye beams onto heimer's head for free gold. Rinse repeat.
What's heimer gonna do without turrets? Try and hit you with rockets for like 200 if all of them even land? Pfft.don't you feel silly now?- RayFrost

I beat a Mal mid and he was able to push down my turrets pretty well. I had to make sure to stack them a bit before putting them down because placing one at a time meant they would just die.
But I disagree about kill potential. Sure, his normal abilities are just poke mostly but once he reaches 6, then he can burst most mid champs down so easy. Ult rockets have given me so many surprise kills.
Even just walking up to expose myself and then placing a big turret gets people. Dongers new ult abilities are nothing to mess around with.Looking for love in Alderaan places.- Lady Lambdadelta

And you've got an adc who is your most protected damage dealer that they probably can't ignore given enough time anyway, and with the removal of bulwark things got even better for double ap comps. In post 25152, Benmage wrote:Kat/Akali are a little different.. I like tanky top, tanky jungle or support... because I'll handle plenty of the dmg, just vie me a meat shield and maybe some peel.
Then, of the champions you call, there are two I would never want to play mid, who simply are better top. Mid is usually a lane with heavy burst, less emphasis on escapes, a large bonus if you can push it, because that means you can go around and do stuff for your team, or at the very least that your opponent can't. The lane is short, and the lane is the spill of your team early on, which all results in that. Top on the other hand, is a very long lane, very open to ganks. Pushing is more dangerous, there's less opportunity to help your team since even supporting an invading jungler is a long way away from you. Hence, top features the tanky people, the people with good escapes. Since the bulk of a team is playing there, burst is not your focus. In mid, your burst can net you a kill. Against the sensible tops you can forget about that. You aren't going to burst a renekton. What you need is a prolonged fight. Small trades that you keep winning so you can get the opponent in range for a kill. Since that goes over a longer time, regen is a factor top.
So in short, with top champs you look for ones that ideally can dodge a gank, can build or have some form of regen or can consistenly outtrade his opponent (shields are cool). So karma and vlad, who have little burst, are good on top. The AP=Mid rule doesn't go up all the time because ap champions are a bit diverse.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.- quadz08

Guys, picture this scenario:
I'm at top against a Yi, and he pushes all day every day. He doesn't last hit and he really doesn't give a fuck in general.
However, this takes a toll on my farming since he's being very aggressive. Plus, my jungler never ganks. Whenever I pushed the lane, their jungler comes and kills me. How do I deal with this?
