I get too many false positives as things stand. And as ny165 attests, I can sometimes get a false positive read mislynched. :/

Okay, I'll buy the responses in 574 and they make sense to me. I think Sangres is probably town although nowhere near obvtown, but I hope it gets there sometime during the game and I am willing to wait and see. I'll solidify my reads on Bulbazak and TPR after digging through meta. ETL and Pitoli still read town.

sangres: Null-town. He's playing pretty passively and not being as aggressive as I'd thought they'd be. Reads are pretty alright, nothing to complain about.

This is what I was thinking as well. Passive, but I like their reads. I am fairly convinced they are town now.

pitoli: I've been troubled over what pitoli's alignment is. I've decided that he's dead null for now. The things he posts can come from either alignment.

What things made you believe town and what made you believe scum?

Bulbazak: This is so obvTown. There is no way he's scum. I refuse to believe it. I'm confused as to why sangres votes him. Someone isn't scum for making a weak case. Will have to read on the game he talked about.

On pitoli, it's how she turns from serious to funny lol no effort in mere posts when people suspect her.
It seems really weird to me that she changes posting style depending on who's on her side and who's not.
Naw I haven't read the game still because I forgot >.> but seeing from this game, he's been consistent with questions and pushes and the like
Chaos, when I said "too easy" I meant "I don't think he'd play so scummy that it'd be easy for me to catch him being scum." Plus with the absolutely no posting and the reputation of the slot, yeah I'm suspicious.
TPR yes her refusing to post a case is weird as fuck but also, when she saw my wagon wasn't getting traction (and a counterwagon was being made on her) she did a 180 no scope on pitoli

I have limited chunks of time right now, so I'm going to tackle and post my thoughts about other bulba games as I get the chance. At least for this one, I'm not doing a good job of linking posts, but his iso is pretty easy to follow.

He correctly identified the scum team (beginner, scumbab101) within a couple of pages. His early votes switched between them, until he decided beginner's scumminess was actually a site meta clash.

In post 170 he unvoted scumbag101 with no indication why, and asked nacho about his reason for voting caled. In 229, he explains that the unvote reason was scumbag101's replace out and wanting to see what the replacement would do.

Even after dropping the beginner vote, he engaged beginner a LOT on day 1, so I think he remained at least a little suspicious.

In post 301 he says all his leads have dropped and he's basically trying to decide whether to join the caled wagon.

He votes Nacho on day 2 but it didn't feel like a vote with a lot of conviction behind it - more like PoE. He switches to Yiley because he felt Yiley was way overplaying the Newb card. Late day 2 he switches back to Nacho, still calling it PoE, and indicating he doesn't think the two are on the same team. He was mislynched, and continued to think Nacho was scum in his final post after the hammer.

I don't think this game gives a sense of binary reads at all, but of the games I've played with bulba I think this one was notable for his not having strong reads/opinions about who was scum on day 1. When I replaced into the game late day 1, I was actually suspicious because of his lack of conviction/certainty. I wound up meta-ing another bulba newbie games to see if the lack of go-for-the-throat was typical of how he plays newbie games. The game I picked was a scum game, and I wound up drawing more bad conclusions about his play in 1429.

I took his flip as more evidence that I tend to find him scummy no matter what his play. When I adjust for that bias, my reads aren't much better because I wind up with false negatives.

If I had not been the N1K I would probably have pushed for either a Bulba or Nacho mislynch on day 2.

I could care less about her defense of me. That wasn't the important part of that post. Also, why would I care if Pitoli is my ally or enemy if I'm scum? She's not exactly the strongest player in the game. I don't see why you would think I would back off of her as scum and not push her, especially if she is really easy to push.

To be fair, you're hardly the one I have to convince.

Regardless, considering that you had been pushing a Pit lynch and nothing had came out of it except a dismantled L-1 wagon, you thought you could move to a more viable target (F16) and, in the process, make a friend out of Pit.

Why would you want Pit as a friend, you ask? What scum doesn't want friends, no matter how strong they may be, I retort.

My point is that reversing my read on Pitoli and befriending her as scum would be a stupid move. There was no indication that interest in a Pitoli wagon was dead, as evidenced by Chaos's post, so there would have been no need for me to abandon the wagon as scum. And let's be honest, a mislynch that could easily be attributed to town Bulba trumps making a friend with someone who won't make it to Lylo or give me that much towncred. The point is that I don't need to make friends as scum, I just need for the people in the game to see me as town.
