Well i just played with some of my higher level friends today (they were all like level 30) in a decent match, and it was exactly that, a decent match up.
Won 1 lost 1, both were actually fun games that weren't plagued by shit players.

This is the first time I've gotten this high, and I think I can keep rising. In this preseason stuff I've been stomping folks with swain. He's really good right now. The new masteries suit him perfectly, and alot of his counters got hit with the nerf stick (Aka mobile assassins).
I'm on a good 6-7 win streak with him, and my ranked stats went from a 42% win rate with him to a 52% win rate with him. I've been going Grail>Zhonyas>Death Cap. Out of the last five games with him, there was ONE game where I got less than 5 kills, and it was because I was roaming bot feeding our varus. 2 nights ago, I went 29-10 with him. Seriously, if you haven't had a reason to pick him up yet, grab him. The buff to his passive was amazing.
He's also a good counter to kassadin who is all sorts of crazy right now.

I haven't been banning him anymore if I know I'm going to mid. I throw it at Rengar Nasus and Sivir. I could ban Lucian, but I find that with the state of ad carries outside of laning phase Sivir brings ALOT more to a teamfight. Her split pushing and tower siege are crazy good.

Thanks, I may stream some tomorrow too. See how far into plat I can climb. My mmr is around plat I or II, so maybe I can shove it up to diamond before the soft reset.

Apparently the matchmaking system forgot I'm supposed to be on the bad team every time. From gold5 0 lp to winning first game in my 4->3 promotion series with only two losses in the interim. And one of those was on a team with no adc because our champ select was just a giant clusterfuck of noncoordination. The other was super close and we ended up getting our nexus backdoored by Vayne while going for the win.
Does getting a better computer lower lag? I'm not sure if I said this but I despise playing on EUW even though it gives me 200 ping while NA gives 400-600. So yeah that's my question.

Given that normal human reactions are 30 milliseconds and ping is measured in milliseconds, I would conform for 30 instead of 8
Computer doesn't matter as much as internet distance / quality / usage. If your connections clogged from a buncha crap other than league it'll be slower. If your connection has to travel across large distances it'll be slower (say... japan to any-fucking-where). If your internet is slow as shit in general it'll be slower.
and I got lulu in ARAM so I went full on machine gun lulu and that was fun too.
