You'd think so, but nope -- haven't gotten a Scum role PM on this site yet. It's just as well, though, since I hate playing as Scum.

Does that mean you consider it scummy to participate in RVS then? If so, wouldn't you be calling half the player list scummy? In post 16, TheIrishPope wrote:

How is Antihero Town when he hasn't even posted yet? Because of the obviously-not-serious RVS wagon on him? Please elaborate on your reasoning.

No, but seriously, why do you say that apathy is an obvious attribute of Town-Wake?

Do you find Pope scummy for getting the ball rolling and giving everyone some stuff to talk about? Wait, no, you called him Town in 28. So what are you trying to figure out by questioning his intentions in this manner?
Because...?

Is the term Strawman appropriate here? I was commenting on the reason of the RVS, not the act of RVS itself. Antihero is Town because scum rarely vote for their partners in RVS.

Is this RVS or serious? If it's serious, why is Pope Scum?
Does Scum-Bob lurk in the early-game too?In post 33, TheIrishPope wrote:Lurks late game and poses questions to spread paranoia
Here's the reason behind my RVS vote on Antihero: "It's RVS, so let me just throw a silly vote on whoever because who cares." In other words, my reason was the same as every other RVS vote in existence. So, in a sense, youIn post 33, TheIrishPope wrote:I was commenting on the reason of the RVS, not the act of RVS itself. Does that mean you have a Scum read on seven players right now?
If I'm Scum, who are my partners?
Um, have you ever played with Wake before? I would use many colorful adjectives to describe his play style, but "apathetic" is definitely not one of them. So again I ask: why do you say that apathy is an obvious attribute of Town-Wake?In post 33, TheIrishPope wrote:Because it is- Minions

cristovo017andpieguyn, do you two have extensive experience with each other off site? How accurately are you at reading each other? (Please back this up with evidence, if possible. If you don't want to do that, vague mentions referring to game titles so the other person can verify is fine too.)
TheIrishPope is my first decent townread. I can guess from context and a cursory glance at a couple of his other recent games that this isn't his usual style, and this seems like a townish alteration in the way he plays (going from concise to wordy). It's harder to fake being wordier as scum in my opinion, thus making a change like that unlikely to be coming from Pope unless he is town and looking to improve his game. The arbitrary point system is interesting, and seems like an unnecessary add on to the new, wordier style if Pope was simply trying to emulate a more protown approach as scum than his usual MO.
Kagami, the majority of our heads do play on this site, but some heads are more familiar with each other than others. We have a main Quicktopic to which every Minion has access, but we talk about games through other means as well.- Minions

I think we read each other well. I recall I've hunted him down when he was scum once, madly tunneling until the lynch. Also remember pulling out a WIFOM when he (as Town Doctor) was meant to protect a player during the Night (a cross-fire night action tactic established by townbloc) and me (as scum) shot the player he was meant to protect because I knew he will change his target (no matter what he was told by the townbloc) as I knew how he would act in said circumstances.
He's read me once when I was scum, basically since the beginning of the game after making a stupid slip. He caught that and I got lynched D2.
Back to the future. My vote on him wasn't an OMGUS. I don't know why he brought the argument that I should be somehow surprised to see him in this game. I have been living with that knowledge since the day I registered to the game, which is about 2 weeks from now on. It's a silly argument.
Also his vote is basically 'because I'm trying too hard'. Why didn't he pick up on TiP again? TiP analyzes every post in the game, how much harder can you try?- PeregrineV

@Minions: I wasn't sure how to read him in our first few games but I've figured out what I think is a meta tell on him. I'm 1 for 1 on reading him now that I know what to look for. I feel p confident I can read him this time too but then again there was only the 1 game before this where I used this tell. I'm interested in seeing if I can read him here too ~
for the record, just based on this tell alone I'm leaning scum, however I haven't seen enough to definitively say either way
what the crap is this?In post 41, cristovo017 wrote:I think we read each other well. I recall I've hunted him down when he was scum once, madly tunneling until the lynch. for one the only time we've played and I've been scum you didn't tunnel me iirc. you sat there and tunneled the shit out of someone else all the way till endgame. I don't remember that game very well tho (someone got a guilty on me N1 so I wasn't really paying much attention after that) so if I'm wrong here correct me plz (and I'd love if you could cite it just to be sure)
second when we've played I've never been town doctor. I do recall smth like that, but I was town jailkeeper, so mb you're thinking of that instead o.o
why are you projecting to everyone that you're god tier at reading me? I find it doubtful you actually think the second sentence is what happened in that game, and the last sentence seems like BS bc you're acting like you "knew" how I would act whenthat was the first game we played with each other-

So let me get this straight. I ask a simple question about a player's vote so I can hopefully get a conversation going with said player, and in response, you insult my intelligence and drop a vote on me. Tell me -- are you Scum or just a dumbass? What reason do you have to overreact so violently to such an innocuous question? Is it because you don't want other players to ask you questions and interact with you? Perhaps it's because you think that if you insult and bark at anyone who tries to approach you, that will make us less willing to approach you, which in turn will make it more difficult for us to figure out your alignment. I've seen it before. In post 37, Minions wrote:What part of his post gave you ANY impression He was taking himself seriously?

I'm sure your first reaction will be to insult me again and brush off my vote as OMGUS -- a common response of caught Scum. You incriminated yourself too easily, but I look forward to discovering the identities of your partners.
Aren't you sweet. Well, as long as you play like you did in La Isla de la Muerte (aka so obvious-Town that you were the first person to get an invention from me), then I shouldn't have any reason to suspect you.In post 43, PeregrineV wrote:

Merry belated Christmas to you too, Peregrine.
I have highlighted one of my FAVOURITE scumtells in mafia there.
It's known as closing the door. Skulduggery is being self aware, in itself a scum tell , but in order to try and avoid bein drawn into a fight and be prone to scum slips he needs to box in the arguement to try and stop us from going on the attack.
Simplest way to do that is to tell everyone what we will do next IF WE WERE SCUM. The OMGUS vote, the claim of an overreaction (like yours?) and the claim we will insult him cos we are 'caught'?
Dave is a sweetheart, he likes to stick a finger up at people who think they are being clever. Rufio has his own line of enquiry and I think it's being fruitful, but I am enjoying watching you panic skul.
Oh, and the person who used the term white knight... That's a scum claim then you are giving us? Cos to white knight is to (as scum) ride to the rescue of a town player to gain town points.
Which kind of makes- Minions
