I'm like 90% certain that the solution for this issue is deleting some particular file. Don't remember what it's called or where in your League of Legends folder it is.

(EDIT: If you still can't solve the problem open up a support ticket. They'll ask you to pull certain logs/information and be able to help you out. Might be a 24-48 hour turnover, but they've helped me with multiple technical issues before. Riot support actually not too bad.)

Honestly I have never dealt with a company with better customer support than Riot.
The only people I know of who think Riot is bad in that area have been banned several times for being dicks.

Yeah I smart cast specifically.

I never smartcast stuff like blitz/nid q and lb e because I need the aiming indicator. I think always smart casting single target spells is generally a good idea

Get into the habit of using smart cast as Q W E R for all abilities on all champions. Set regular casts (in case you need to see range, arrow widths, etc.) to Shift+Ability.

Congratulations, you are now competent.

Smart casting really is not a necessary trait of being good with a champion, most pro's actually use hard cast for skill shots in particular, smart cast is usually good for other abilities and for preference.

I haven't played any charge champions yet (Vi, Varus, etc), but overall I'm liking the feel a lot more.
