Esp would have been the obvious vig shot. Chances were that he was going to be PL'd anyway. If there is a vig., you take care of the PL, which frees up town to fully scumhunt on the next day. Staeg, on the other hand, advocates a vig on someone who had not had time to engage with the game and was V/LA, which gives town zero information, leaving Esp around to be PL'd the next day. Town doesn't get much information from it, they likely don't get any scum, and the scum team gets 2 free nights of kills. It was a horrible suggestion, and it didn't come from a town mindset.

He made a choice to say "Go for the guy who's not here at the moment." rather than "Go for the guy that is going to be the most contentious for the town.". That's not a town process. I have a great respect for Kuri, and I figured, even if he was to gun for my lynch to the ends of the earth, he would stop and turn around. So it felt like the obvious choice from where I was sitting. I know who I intend to go after, after Kuri.
