For page 1, yeah, I especially thought his first post came off that way. But, like I said, I got a slight townfeel off of post 14 (?). The one where he pointedly asked Majiffy if he was a mod-player. That seemed a little more like keyed up town than scum.

I took his list as less tongue in cheek than this one, where Mastin was the first player to post. I don't have a problem with people making quick reads on the basis of thin data as long as I can see they're still processing it when new data hits the thread.

Briefly regarding mastin's reads - seems we didn't need to sync at all.
I had Lucky down as questionable because the main effect of voting Scumfuck was to create a (second) L-2 wagon, but the content given in that post was pure RVS. The tone of the post seemed a bit exaggerated to me as well (as did DOMO's entrance, actually).

Messiah's initial vote obviously had some humour behind it. Scumfuck-ffery-head I know to not be a fan of RVS so no vote is nothing unusual - it might take me a bit more time to firm up a townread here but certainly feeling 'human'. catboi was the first poster (enthusiasm) and I thought we'd have good times voting down the list in sequence (which means, actually, that Messiah broke the pattern ^_-)

Hum, so yeah no masky yet - looking forward to that grand entrance!

That post gave me a slight, though rough-edged townfeel.

Honestly, it felt like cheap fluff, one that could be posted in any Majiffy-modded game. (And very well might have been--that line feels way too familiar to me for it to be unique to this game.) Not scum, but not town, either--something he'd post regardless of his alignment.

His other posts, on the other hand, not so much.

I didn't accuse you of being lurky, I said it seemed you were being lurky. My language was deliberately careful, I'm aware that it's pretty silly to make such a judgement after 1 page. But you made two posts - first post of the game and then you vote for me after I join a page in. You dodged the p1 chit chat despite knowing the game had started. Thus, you seem lurky, or at least you did based on those two posts. I could be wrong, I have no idea about you meta, but I don't like that you're twisting my language to suggest I made a direct accusation when I was merely posting what I thought about those who were in. Your vote on me seemed opportunistic because it could be interpreted as waiting for someone else to point the finger, maybe a potential town leader, so you could justify a non RVS vote. I'm seeing potential scum motivation there.

Common misconception. I like the RVS phase quite a bit actually. I just approach it a little differently. In a large game I usually wind up with at least 2-3 townreads that stand the test of time during RVS and the transition to srsbsns.

I know the individual meaning of the words in this post, but when I attempt to parse them as a sentence none of it comes together. Seriously, "I didn't accuse you of being lurky, I said it seemed you were being lurky." Is there any difference, other than hedging your language?

Why are you feeling so defensive? You're only at L-2 at the moment and the only other folks (aside from our slot) who've indicated they might want to lynch you, are already voting you.
