In large games I've become a huge fan of running folks up - not necessarily to force a claim, but to see who joins wagons, when and why. However I tend to think in this game, that strategy will be of limited use because the maximum we could run people up to would be three votes anyway; coming from town, first votes will be suspicion-based; second votes will be either confirming that or added pressure; third votes well, that's L-1 with risk of hammer or pressure to claim. I get the feeling that the best way to play this game will be to consider votes pretty significant and also consider careful reasoned voting to be pro-town play.

I guarantee you that this slot won't be panic-voting.

Humorous intent (if it's genuine-feeling, which yours was) is something that tends town in RVS but can be manufactured relatively easily. It also doesn't guarantee that I'm therefore going to understand everything else you're saying. I'm interested in feeling out your slot a bit better, having previously played on non-town teams with both of you.

I believe Lucky's tone has been very natural and relaxed. Ffery's tone has been like scratching your nails on the chalkboard. That's the only way I can describe it.

Yes, the suggestion was that your priority was to run people into a claim, rather than a more town motivated view of pressuring and reaction baiting. If the cop is forced to claim, both cop and doc are rendered useless. Scum will be well aware of this of course, and so I would expect scum to be thinking about claims more than town.

And no I don't think I did take more than 30 seconds spewing that other post out. It's what I thought at the time. Often I'll post something and then when I look back I think "hmm not so sure about that now", but whatever, the reactions interest me all the same.

I've since changed my stance, since Ffery knows DOMO better and is townreading him.

I was in a newbie game with catboi, he was incredibly obvtown from the outset. There wasn't much interaction there, though, because it was a short-as-fuck game, ending early D2.

Other than him and both heads of AH, though, the rest are new to me.

Going after you right out of the gate wouldn't be a good idea as scum. You may recall, I tried the same thing against the Nacho/Jiffy hydra in that DBZ game and got crushed like a worm for it. That's the kind of mistake someone only makes once.

I'm obviously not definite, but it wouldn't surprise me. Having said that, I misread the VC, I thought you weren't voting and MC was on lucky, not the other way round. I don't think you're scum, and while catboi is not a town read, I'm not hating him as much as I did. So I'm far from convinced.

I'm not being consistent. I don't worry about consistency as either alignment.

And my play is majority reaction-baiting, again regardless of alignment. I don't feel like I'm on the defensive so much any more. I think the reason I was so defensive early on is because not only was I being accused right off the bat, but there was little for me to analyse, so I wasn't really able to attack anyone, leaving defence dominant. In a large game this wouldn't be the case. Micros are easier to keep up with but there's definitely a different early game feel to it.
