omg mollie's Post 358 is something I can empathize with so much but in inverse, if that makes sense. I'm no good at day one; I find day one's a lot of noise and more games than not I feel like shit about my reads because I feel like I put the puzzle together better when there are pieces flipped. This means that some games I take a back seat role and look at how the arguments play out to see what makes sense, but in some games I feel like it makes sense right away. And my game is really largely dependent on my mood first.

I was telling empire not too long ago that I wanted to change my meta because I felt like what people expected from me was actually causing a distraction in games because people aren't actually reading me based on what I say in games but in really superficial things that are partially alignment aligned but are also mood aligned. So for instance, no I don't always joke around and be exciting at the start of the game. If I do, I'm almost definitely town, but if I don't, I might just not be in the mood. I'm getting a bit tired of people pushing me for reactions instead of looking at what I'm saying, which I think is way more relevant than anything ever. I mean I get that it might be amusing for people to just try to make me mad, but I don't think that makes an enjoyable or productive game, so I've pledged to do my best to not react to unwarranted suspicion until people start reading what I'm actually saying, especially when they aren't people who have bothered to understand me enough to see where I'm coming from.

I realize this might get me a few mislynches in the near future, but I'm considering it an experiment and hope it will help.

What I'm not sure about is why you're seeing scum-Nacho-Ansuz by association. I follow what you're saying about things dovetailing oh-so-neatly into a Nacho-busses-Tammy scenario, but my problem is that this doesn't feel like scum-Nacho so far. I'll concede that you have way more experience reading him, but he seemed way more involved here than he's been as scum. Not waiting to see where the other players are moving to push wagons from behind. You said you might even make a case--something more that associative tells with unflipped players would be appreciated.

Formerfish called our slot town for absolutely no reason. Is he usually confident in making a read on me? No. Is he going to read Desp as town based on #62 and #63? No. Then, in his reads post, he found a legitimate reason to call me scum based on an insanely weak and obvious bullshit self-meta town case. Yet, he still ends up with us as a townread. Why? Because he is obligated to read our slot as town; he reads Desperado, Tammy reads me. He doesn't want to push us as a mislynch because there's no way in hell they will be able to get us lynched. That is not a genuine sort, that is him reading us becaus he knows we're town and not fucking with it.

This is a bullshit read and you know it's bullshit. You would know if you talked to your other head that the two of them are friends, so why wouldn't he think something that was amusing was potentially town. You're other head would also tell you if the two of you talked that he likes to push for reactions to get reads. We aren't obligated to read your slot as town, and here is where you're starting to lose me Nacho.
