That should make you feel better! When you play with a handicap and then switch to someone who is safer you can get out of bad situations more easily.
Such as practicing and getting good with Twitch or Sivir and then switching to Cait/Ezreal, you can gain a new found respect and understanding of using their escapes/range.

This is all valid information and I thank you. I play Caitlyn etc just fine, it was just awkward having range when I thought about it.

The real handicap here is crippling lag. panzer knows.
I go from being able to carry a good amount games to getting hard carried every game.

So many times we'd go in, everyone would focus the fed Yi, and he would just get healed, well i focused my enemy counterpart trying to stop her from doing so.

When laning against soraka, kill soraka.

Because soraka heal is ridiculously significant and soraka has no real escape methods. Meanwhile, ezreal is a bitch that you can't ever really keep down.

Only real situation where focusing the healer is all that important imo.

Fact is her heals can quite easily throw everyone to a losing battle, like they constantly did for my game, still no one focused her.

This is ideal.

In teamfights, if you can't kill someone while focusing them down, then you're simply doing it wrong. Healer or not. Five man focus should never lead to someone coming out alive unless they are ungodly fed with you being behind in a way that means you are without hope anyway.

In a teamfight, she's going to get both abilities off somewhere, even if they're on herself. If you kill her, congrats, you killed someone who was going to be worthless for 15 seconds. Meanwhile the aforementioned Yi has aced you.

The aforementioned Yi was acing us BECAUSE of the heals, focus raka, change to Yi.

That way we wouldn't have to kill Yi 2+ times over.

If you have to deal the same total amount of damage anyway, it seems silly to have your damage dealers likely putting themselves in harm's way to try to hit the Raka while the Yi is tearing through them.

How about you silence soraka so she couldn't cast while your team focused yi and killed him while she couldn't heal???

they weren't killing Yi in 2.5 seconds, they would have killed raka in 2.5 seconds.

If they can't kill Yi in 2.5 seconds, how could they kill someone who would heal herself after 2.5 seconds? Alternatively, bait Yi away from his team and focus him down

Also, I'm pretty sure Taric synergizes with literally every carry because of his w - am I wrong? That said, Taric & Ezreal is a combo that isn't as effective, I think - stuff like Jinx and Sivir, who like to push the lane it works best with, IMO.

Then, like I said, your team was irreparably fucked. There was no possibility of you winning that game at that point. You were screwed. Your team fed too much and had no hope ever of winning regardless of what they did except not suck that badly to begin with.

The focus wasn't the problem. Being 5 levels behind was the problem.

Edit: Taric doesn't synergize as fantastically with carries that can't afford to go in on people and do in-fighting in lane / are vulnerable to poke. If you're forced to be sitting there healing your adc as taric, then you'll go oom quickly. At which point your lane gets fucked.

Take for example:

Mf + taric into Cait + lulu

Mf gets poked out by lulu / cait, taric has no way to initiate because lulu can disengage with w, and so he's only left with healing out the poke. When he's oom, lulu's w is not an initiation tool and mf gets dicked.
