I won't profess to be an expert on Kagami's meta or anything, but for what it's worth, I've never seen Town-Kagami be such a non-presence in a game before.
Should I be expecting a follow-up to this, Cabd?In post 568, Skullduggery wrote:
This is my first game with him.In post 567, Cabd wrote:How familiar are you with orcinus in the past?
You sound confident that this is what's going to happen to him on Day 3 regardless. Why is that?In post 719, Flandre Scarlet wrote:By saying he's hated until N2, that makes early wagons against him more cautious. However, he'll still get quickwagoned up to L-1 on D3 for said claim (to test the truth).
In post 719, Flandre Scarlet wrote:As for rolefishing, he only mentioned hated. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but can't modifiers such as (hated, miller) also include an actual role?
A fair point. Did I ask Orcinus about anything other than his hated claim, though? No. No I did not. Would someone be so kind as to point this out to Orc? He obviously isn't listening to me (probably because he doesn't want to admit that he's wrong). In post 721, Varsoon wrote:Skull, I believe you're in the right, but isn't hated pretty non-alignment indicative anyway?
I've never heard of a player beingtemporarilyhated, and I feel like if I understood the reason why hestopsbeing hated after an arbitrary amount of time, I'd have a better chance of figuring out whether he's full of shit or not. Orc being so overly defensive about the whole thing doesn't exactly help in that regard.
If I'm correctly reading some of the hints that people have dropped, it sounds like there might be at least three separate Neighborhoods in this game. I originally thought that there had to be one Scum somewhere between you, AFB, and Metal Sonic, but if there are multiple Neighborhoods, then that theory might not be accurate. If there are three Neighborhoods, I wouldn't be at all surprised if at least one of them was all-Town. What do you think about the abundance of Neighborhoods and do you agree or disagree with my observations in this paragraph? In post 723, Venmar wrote:- If [Metal Sonic] is scum, then AFB is most likely town (and vice versa in a way.)
I can see why Venmar would think that one person in a three-person Neighborhood is Scum, especially since he presumably didn't know that there were multiple Neighborhoods at the time. When you got your role PM, did you come to a similar conclusion or did you think that there was a good chance that all three of you were Town?In post 764, Metal Sonic wrote:And your first votes were on both your neighbors? Why happened to love thy neighbor? Apparently you don't have the generous spirit, so I'm being proactive in kicking you out.

Nothing the slot does looks very genuine in general and the suspicions are fairly throw away.
Their attention is on kind of weird places...engaging Orcinus about Skull to no satisfying conclusion instead of discussing their scumreads and all. Silly. Scum. Lynch. Burn.
Why do you care which head this is; if you are unale to distinguish us, then any meta you have on us is probably shit.twophone books if you flip Scum.

Why not? Quote at least one thing he's said and explain why it's coming from a Town mindset. In post 800, ActionDan wrote:Let's not harass poor Flandre just yet.
What leads you to believe that Scum has day-talk in this game?In post 823, Varsoon wrote:If scum doesn't have daytalk (they probably do), then it's perfect.
As for your proposition, maybe you should go first to show us what you're talking about.
How on earth did you manage to get Varsoon and Desperado mixed up?In post 834, Brian Skies wrote:

This is concerning. We should be neck deep in some setup speculation by now. Instead, she's not posting here. Bad. Don't like it. No. Ugh.

To be fair, setup spec is pretty hard in a gamestate like this (No flips yet), but I did expect to see some engagement on datamining the past two games of the trilogy, especially with the hoods out in the open now.In post 853, Kazekirimaru wrote:This is concerning. Orc, have you really seen nothing more suspicious in this thread than Skull arguably rolefishing you in one place? Why are you content to be a one vote wagon on him (and not seeming very worried about no one listening to you), and why are you ignoring how town he is otherwise?"I would prefer not to." --Herman Melville,Bartleby the Scrivener- orcinus_theoriginal

i tried to do a meta dive on venmar bc I got the feeling a lot of the things I disliked about him (coasting, slipping through the cracks, ignoring questions, shutting down lines of communication) were based on playstyle. it ended up being over really quickly. there was a blatant feeling of responding to things just for the sake of it and trying to appease everyone by always responding to them in his scumgames. meanwhile his towngames seem way more similar to what he's doing here in terms of attitude and behavior. he tends to focus more on building and talking about his own reads. he also keeps a lot of cards close to his chest, and I noticed evidence of this here in 723 where he lays out his case on MS. I think this is what I thought his coasting actually is

@skullduggery
Yeah I came to the same conclusion that there was likely a chance that my neighborhood has a scum, but also understood that there was a nonzero chance that we were all town. So I decided to just treat my neighbors as any other player and judged them with the standard scum tell/town tell (in my figurative book), but if they displayed positive scum reads then this neighborhood thing just double confirms it
Then with Venmar going all aggro at the start of the game, yeah that certainly caught my attention!
Regarding multiple neighborhoods thing, I played in a Coney Island game quite a while back with a similar feature, with two 2 player neighborhoods and a 2 player masonry. I was in a neighborhood with the scum and got lynched first(I was town). After the game, we realised that out of 4 players in the neighborhoods only 1 was scum. Make of that what you will.

Still town as always.
I don't know what my scum-game would look like, but it's most likely going to involve more focus on the game's events rather than less. I've been pretty focused on other games and haven't given this one the attention it deserves in part because cabd was more or less echoing my feelings on mastin. Mastin probably can think of another reason I would wait before weighing in here.
My impression is that mastin is a hopeless egotist who is town.
Pie is obviously town, anyone who thinks otherwise is insane.
Skull town. Varsoon town. Varskull4eva
If there is any scum on the brian wagon, I would think it has to be metal sonic or muffin. Flandre's naked vote is not scummy, imo. MS's notebook pic is terrible, but I think if ms were trying to say "omg, only town would keep notes about the game!" he would have made the notebook much busier and taken a picture that shows more of his "notes." The notebook thing might actually be town.
muffin is my favorite for today's Miss Scum pageant, but I want to give the thread a little more attention first.
Orc was supposed to be obvtown by now, but I've never played with him. Is orc town yet? - Kagami
